We understood that coming to the Hard Rock Hotel we could expect a certain level of noise. What we didn't expect was a repetitive playlist, played at an ear-shattering volume, for about seven hours a day. If I have to hear Livin' On A Prayer one more time before I die, it'll be one more time too many.
The noise made it impossible to enjoy the patio that was attached to our room, the hammock or the sunbeds. We just stayed inside with the door shut and, more often than not, white noise playing through our earbuds to cancel out the horrible music. That didn't stop us being able to feel the vibrations of it in our chests, though.
Wherever we went on the resort, at whatever time, we couldn't find any peace. Beaches, pools, restaurants, communal indoor areas...everywhere we went, there was loud music.
I like music. I do. But not the same songs, at top volume, ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.
It started to feel like some kind of Death By Bon Jovi.
Otherwise, we had a nice enough time. Plenty to do, decent food, staff doing their best, room clean if a little tired.
But, for the love of all that is holy...turn the music down.
