Nice Mexican style hotel close to the beachPosted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, Clean rooms, Comfortable beds, few yards from 5th Av., 1 block from the beach, lovely Mexican style decoration.
Cons: Shower pressure really low, Some rooms don't have a place where to hang clothes (just shelfs), lighting is pretty poor on some rooms (you guys should
Location: Everything is close to the hotel. 5th Ave The beach Breakfast at the hotel is 50% off and is really good (4 persons for 270 pesos)
We stay at the hotel for 6 days on spring break 2015. A family of 4 with 2 kids (14 and 15). If you are looking for a luxury kind of hotel "Hotel Cielo" is not for you. This hotel is really simple, with no pool or fancy amenities. But we slept on a super clean room, with really comfortable beds just a few yards from 5th Av.

Great location with very friendly staff!!Posted Mar 29, 2015
Hotel was very cute and quiet. Great location off of 5th avenue, close to shopping, beach and restaurants. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly (even booked a catamaran day trip for us!) restaurant is great as well, great breakfast and happy hour (waiters were very professional and friendly). Would recommend this hotel to everyone. I went on a week vacation with my boyfriend, it was perfect for us!!

In the heart of Playa Del CarmenPosted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: Love the look of the hotel really cute and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restrauent staff was also very friendly.
Cons: Our room had no place to put a suitcase or clothing. Also the lighting in the room was poor.
Location: Right in the heart of Playa. One block from the beech.
The hotel was really cute and clean. This place is great if you want to be in the heart of the action of 4th street. The hotel is built over a restrauent which makes a lot of noise well into the night.

Seen better days, but still charming.Posted Feb 4, 2015
An overnite stay during a trip from Cancun to Cozumel. We arrived late and had dinner at the Hotel. Very good meal. The room had no outside awareness and was somewhat stuffy.

Location, location, location!Posted Feb 4, 2015
We liked the location of Cielo - two blocks from ADO airport bus depot. Only 2 - 4 blocks to main beach depending on where you like to park it. 2-3 blocks to Cozemel Ferry. Within walking distance of many tasty restaurants - we like to explore eating off Fifth Av. Because we stayed two weeks, our room was upgraded for a portion of our stay to one with view and balcony (which we greatly appreciated and is great customer service!) The decor in the rooms and common areas is warm, pleasant, and inviting. Rooms were clean, beds were soft (compared to general Mexican beds). Being so close to Fifth Ave, one can hear revelry, mariachis, and other street noise until all hours no matter what room you are in -- we got used to it, and one expects it in a Mexico resort area. Free wifi worked very well in all rooms. Complimentary beach towels available at front desk, also umbrellas for those sudden rain showers! Yos(?), Alejandra, and Steve and the staff are super nice and service oriented. They all made our stay most comfortable and enjoyable. Carboncitos Restaurant is attached to the Cielo. There is a discount for breakfast and dinners for Cielo guests. The cooks and wait staff do a very nice job. Dinner is pricey - but the food is very tasty and presentation is entertaining. Waiters can stack balance 4 margaritas on top of their head when serving! Would stay here again in a flash.

The hotel was right in town. This was great for us because it was close to everything including beach. A bit noisy but this didn't affect our sleeping. Meals were great at the restaurant next door which offered 50% off for breakfast and 10% for all other meals for Cielo guests

Gorgeous hotel, great staff, right off the stripPosted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Service, comfort, cleanliness
Cons: Price, privacy (too many windows without true window coverings)
The hotel staff make this a great place to stay. They are friendly and helpful, and go overboard to make you comfortable. The hotel is right next to the 5th Avenue strip - 1.5 blocks from the beach, 3 blocks from the bus station, 4 blocks from the ferry. Easy access to everything. The room was clean and safe. We didn't see a single bug or even a lizard the entire time we were there. And to top it off, the architecture is classic Mexican with rich stucco, lovely painted tiles, open arches, and a winding staircase. I recommend Hotel Cielo and would stay there again.
