great viewsPosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: View from the balcony
Cons: not given the internet code at check in nor told needed a key to use the room safe which led to 2 unnecessary trips down 3 flights of stairs(no lift)
Location: walking distance to restaurants and on the beach
We were a little worried when we arrived at the hotel as it is quite old and looked 'tired' However the view from the balcony more than made up for any downsides and the room although basic was clean

Can't get closer to the beach.Posted Jul 28, 2013
Cons: Maintenance of a coastal property must be tough. This site has a lot of physical quirks. Safety and primary services are fine - enjoy that.
Location: This community, Puerto Morelos, is a dandy, unspoiled fishing village-on the cusp of tourist locale, add to the fun with a Spanish course here!
A staff with your safety and comfort in mind and a view of the Caribbean that can't be matched, isn't this what we are looking for in a moderately-priced hotel? I have stayed here twice, and on each occasion, the atmosphere of the coast and the kindness of the personnel convince me it was a great idea. You have choices at the all-inclusive non-Mexico hotels, but if you want to BE in Mexico and enjoy nearby restaurants, fiestas, coffee shops, and convenience stores, and - OH - the beach. This hotel even has an on-site dive/snorkel service.

Great respite from "timeshare madness"Posted Jun 25, 2013
Pros: location price cleanliness friendliness
Cons: clarify why there was no breakfast as stated on our reservation a dresser and additional chairs in the room
Location: This place is located right on the beach just half a block off the main plaza of the town. Dive shop was close and they spoke English!
My husband and I finished off our last 3 nights of 10 in Riviera Maya with a return to our favorite down to earth little beach town, Puerto Morelos. We went from this huge monstrousity called the Grand Riviera Maya to this beautiful little beachfront motel with a crystal clear small pool and 3 steps down to the beach. The room was really big, but could have used a couple more chairs. The bed was clan and comfy, shower ran strong, and the people there were very kind. We did not receive any breakfast as was described (European plan) because the restaurant was closed which was just past the lobby of the hotel. Everything is in walking distance, so it wasn't really a big problem. The room was such a good price we didn't even mention it. The dive shop attached to the south end of the place on the first floor was wonderful, and we went snorkeling on the protected reef with a very experienced local. The whole stay was a little slice of heaven. We would come back again.

Best bang for buck!Posted Jun 14, 2013
Pros: the view
Location: fantastic location
If its a basic room with a fantastic view and a reasonable price you're looking for, this is the place!I've been in far worse and far better. We had a top floor room 301 with no one on our left. Rooms seemed sound proofed enough. Wifi worked well in lobby and hit and miss in rooms. Staff are eager to please!

we wanted quiet and quiet is what we got.Posted Jun 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Puerto Morelos seems to have the entire infrastructure needed for a tourist destination, however seems rather neglected and abandoned. The food wasn’t very good and there was no shade from the sun on beach. My husband and I only stopped in for a day and a night as we headed north having an early flight out of Cancun the next morning. Cancun proper is not our style with all the resorts and such, so we wanted quiet. And quiet is what we got. The hotel was quiet, clean and had great view of the ocean. My husband and I had a great romantic evening on the beach and over all we had a great time ;)

Great place for wandering and relaxing,Posted May 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was right on the beach and you could walk to everything you needed or catch a collective and go visit some of the sites, I was there on my own and felt completely safe, the hotel staff were very helpful and the locals were very accommodating. The hotel was average so it depends on what you're looking for, if you're looking for something fancy go to an all-inclusive, otherwise try and get a room on the main floor at the pool and after a long day out you can sit outside in the evening and look over the ocean. Everything You Need for a Great PricePosted May 2, 2013
We both felt very pleased with Hotel Hacienda Morelos. It is well located at the beach just south of the main plaza, with a nice pool, and a beautiful view from the room. Our room was light and airy, and we liked its simplicity in the hot climate. Staff members were helpful and friendly. The price was great for a beachside hotel in the Yucatan. We would definitely stay here again.

The Place to Stay!!!Posted May 1, 2013
Pros: The fact that it is on the beach, has a swimming pool, and very reasonable prices make it a good place to stay
Cons: There were some people making noise in the middle of the night, but that can happen anywhere...
Location: It is just a block fro the plaza in Puerto Morelos, a nice sleepy town just outside of Cancun...
We arrived late in the afternoon and were shown to our room. It was clean, and right on the beach... We will stay there again. As a matter of fact, Puerto Morelos is a very good jumping off place close to all other attractions at a fraction of the cost. Next time we will make it our base for touring other areas... It is close to the airport making it easy to get there the day one leaves.... If you want a 5 star place where you pay hundreds per day, this is not the place, but it sure beats those places if you want to travel economicly.

Ok for the money.Posted Apr 30, 2013
Great location- view overlooking the ocean. Had no hot water at night and again the next day. (To be fair, I didn't report it because I was in a hurry to leave, so they did not get the oppotunity to fix it.) For the money, it's a good hotel. I am sure they would correct the water situation.
