The Kinbé is located close to 5th Avenue and just 50 meters from the beach.This boutique hotel, set within lush tropical gardens features with 29 rooms, is an inspired fusion of comfort, charm and class.

The distinctly chic feel offers the guest a unique experience in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

The reception offers 24 hours front desk with a courteous, friendly and multilingual staff; info and tips about the area, assistance w/booking tours and excursions as well as car and scooter rentals, snorkelling and diving.

Also laundry service 24 hours delivery, transportation to/from Cancun airport (additional charge, on request).

The staff can also organize tours in the Yucatan peninsula. Playa Del Carmen is a very good point of departure for visit the amazing Maya’s ruins, like the most famous Chichen-Itza, Tulum, Coba’ and also the beautiful natural marine parks on the coast as X-caret and Xel-ha.

We collaborate with 2 beach clubs. One is located 50 meters walking from Kinbé; the second in the biggest beach of Playa del Carmen, only 10 minutes walking. Both beach clubs have restaurant, beach, bar and water sports and provide with special discounts for our guests over deckchairs and beach umbrella rent, food and drinks.

“Playa's best kept secret”

Once again, the Kinbe Hotel was all that was hoped for. This is our 8th trip to this hotel and it just keeps getting better. The front desk staff is first rate! Elena, the Manager of the Kinbe is the best! We look forward to our stay all year.

Area recommendations
The annual Jazz Festival which is usually held the last weekend of November was excellent.

“Strategic location”

The hotel was in an awesome spot, couple steps to both the sea and the fifth avenue. There was an amazing garden and terrace with ocean view, where we enjoyed some drinks taken just out of the door, and we saw the sunset. It could be not so comfortable for elderly or people with disabilities cause of the wood stairs to get to the apartments. for the location and the appearence it deserves a lot!!

“In love with this hotel”

“Good for couples”

“A tranquil jewel in the heart of 5th Avenue”

The hotels alfresco surroundings make you feel like your living in nature but you step out the lobby doors and to the right is the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue and to the left is the beach. Each is about 10 meters away in either direction. The staff takes the time to know you at a personal level. The beach gives immediate access to diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, parasailing, or lounging on covered recliners or beds. 5th Avenue has any shop you could imagine, all the food you can eat, all the dancing you can do. Plus check out the world famous art by Carlos Albert. "Kinbe" in Mayan is "The path to the sun" It didn't fall short!

“good location..!!”

the hotel is very quiet and relax, the room is small and don´t have closet, but the terrace is great in the nigth...

5 th avenue is great in the nigth for fun and shopping....
Family-friendly activities
is very close to ferry location to cozumel and is easy take a taxis and buses to transport to parks, like xcaret, xplor, xhe-la...or take a ride to tulum.

“Great Location, Won't Stay Again Though”

The hotel was in the perfect location, but the online information wasn't exactly accurate. While there is a public beach club down the street, hotel guests don't get any kind of discount at the beach club which was unexpected and disappointing. The bathroom was tiny, but for the amount of time that we were actually in the room, it was sufficient. The hotel staff were helpful at times and not so much at others. We met the manager of the hotel on our way out and she told another guest that she did not care what he thought and that he could contact the government to complain about the hotel and it wouldn't matter. That really made up our minds that we wouldn't stay there again.

“Enjoyed the Kinbe so much.”

Everyone working here was smart, urbane, pleasant, multilingual, attractive, helpful. Obviously I can't say enough. Location is excellent. Close to everything. Playa Del Carmen is an easy place to be in and is totally relaxing. Kinbe is an extension of all that. My room on the garden courtyard second floor was tiny and entirely adequate. Great bathroom with whimsical tile and stone inlayed shower. Always clean and well maintained. The owners of the Hotel Kinbe have created a simple, chic, and casual atmosphere from which to venture into the dewey touristic balm of Playa Del Carmen. No frills and reasonably priced.

Area recommendations
All of Playa Del Carmen is fun but Little Italy and the area of 5th Avenue north of Calle 10 is less tacky and has more attractive shops and restaurants the south of Calle 10 area. Feel free to venture outside the 5th Avenue confines and get a little more of the Mexican flavor outside the tourist zone. Explore Avenues 10 and 15 and beyond. Be sure to visit as many ruin sites as you can, especially Coba, Tulum and Chichen Itza. Walk the beach at night and check out the different clubs and music venues. See the fire show at night on the beach. It's very cool.

“so so”

kinbe is in a great location and is kept relatively clean as a whole however pretencious customer service, slow turn over service as well as a poorly designed bathroom and closet space makes it thumbs down for me. I dont like a shower that leaks out to the floor, closet doors that hit my head or foot, lamps that hang too low with bright bulbs facing you, only having two hangers and no drawer space to put your clothes....and that's in the most expensive Rugiada room. On the first day they were out of beach towels and did not even offer a room towel or anything and then on the second day i recieved a beach towel that was more thAN WELL WORN and smaller than the rooms towels. The hotel does have some charm and provides a few small poorly kept rooftop terraces and well as having a tiny purely decorative pool in the lobby but all in all i would look elsewhere.
