Nice, comfortable hotel conveniently locatedPosted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Staff, room conditions
Location: It is close to 5a Avenida, which is focused on tourists and visitors but it is also close to local restaurants and stores
I was looking for a convenient place to stay, with clean rooms and friendly staff and Las Golondrinas fit the purpose. The Hotel has 2 small, comfortable pools where you can spend a couple of hours and cool down. When required, the response from staff was always prompt, nice and with a great big smile. Whenever going back to Playa del Carmen, Las Golondrinas will be my first choice. It is close to 5a Avenida, which is focused on tourists and visitors, but it is also close to local restaurants and stores, which is always a good (and less expensive) option.

Nice hotel close to the sights in Playa del CarmenPosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: I liked the overall facilities and customer service.
Cons: The internet service is poor and very intermittent, should improve this.
Location: The hotel is in a location with no noise during the night near 5th Avenue typical supermarkets and restaurants, it is not necessary to use a vehicle t
I have stayed 3 times at this hotel and recommend it as a very good alternative for overnight and sightseeing during the day, also has good facilities for rest one day before going sightseeing.

Good LocationPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Location is great also the room had a safe in it
Location: 5th Avenue and beach are close and you can get anything you need there.
If you are looking for a 5 star hotel this isn't the place for you. The location is very good, close to 5th Avenue and the beach. The staff was helpful and the hotel was quiet and clean. It is a mid range hotel with a small pool but not much for amenities but with everything close that wasn't a problem. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and wasn't much to brag about, also if you want a drink bring one with you as there is no bar on site.

Everything was great, there is no hot tub/spa as advertised, however.

A good hotel and near to the centre of town, only about a 10 min walk. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and the hotel was always clean and tidy. They have wifi which is free to use but only works in the lobby area. They also have a computer that guests can use.

Overall okPosted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: Room size, general cleanliness, breakfast included.
Cons: Wifi speed, sewer smell and workmanship
Location: Close to 5th av
A good hotel with a great first impression, but unfortunately the workmanship in the bathroom in particular was very disappointing. The tiling, painting and plumbing was very poor. And worst of all was the sewer smell that lingered in the bathroom. Also, very slow wifi, almost useless.

Nice location, good settingPosted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: Can't beat the location
Cons: Rooms varied widely, we got 2 rooms, one on the first floor, one on the second. The one on the second floor had full internet access and was way bett
Location: Location is awesome because is walking-distance from the beach, shops, and clubs. 5th avenue is a great spot to spend time in Playa del Carmen
The staff was friendly. When we arrived, our room had a few things left from the previous guests, which wasn't fun, given that we arrived pretty late; being that said, staff removed items (which included left-over foods in the fridge) very quickly. We got 2 rooms, one on the first floor, one on the second. The one on the second floor had full internet access and was in way better shape than the one on the first. In addition, the first-floor room was right next to the pool bathroom so it wasn't that comfortable to not being able to open the curtains as people could see right into our full room. If you go, definitively press for a room on the second floor.

NightmarePosted Jan 8, 2014
Cons: Everything, too much noise, too dirty, and the staff was helpless..
It was the worst hotel ever. We were in a room close to the pool, and it was just impossible to sleep at night. The room was dirty and the air conditioning didn't work .... Just a nightmare
