Clean, quiet and friendly hotel in a great locatio

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Clean and quiet rooms with friendly helpful staff.
Location: The hotel is located about a two minute walk from all the restaurants, bars and shopping on 5th Ave.
We picked this hotel because of its location near the ferry terminal, bus station and all the restaurants, bars and shopping on 5th Ave. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was just a short walk to everything we needed but far enough away from 5th Ave so that is was very quiet and peaceful.

Convenient and quiet location

Posted Jul 6, 2014
We liked how close to the beach and 5th avenue we were without the noise and price tag. Many affordable restaurants nearby and laundry mat across the street. The pool was nice but we only used it once, since the beach was so close. Parking is very convenient. The only minus were the mosquitoes in the kitchen, but then again I was wearing a very fruity lotion on my body. We will book here again for sure.

Pros: Great staff ,,,Great location. Close to beach. Really quiet. Beds are so clean
Cons: With flat bigger tv. Would make look room more modern
Location: 2 blocks from the fifth av. We found nice restaurants
Great staff at from desk. Night and day. They were so helpful. And polite. I wasn't sure about the hotel. But I was so surprised with cleanliness Sheets clean and confortable But loved also is so quiet. So comfortable. The only thing is the small fridge. Made a spins occasionally. That will wake me up. I just disconnected it. And no problem. I will come back soon. And I will stay in lunasol

Great value quiet hotel near 5th avenue

Posted Jun 10, 2014
location is great. close enough to the centre of town and 5th avenue to be convenient - and far enough away to be quiet! Helpful staff. No restaurant but after a week fully catered on Cozumel we thought that was a bonus! Gave us the excuse to eat out every night at the local cantinas up and down the street. Room clean and comfortable. Pool area nice and secluded for relaxing.

Pros: Location and facilities according to what we paid
The hotel is very well located, walking distance to 5th avenue & beach. The price is very reasonable and offers a nice & quiet pool, it also has a kitchen area to make your own barbecue to enjoy the day.

Perfect location

Pros: Location, clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: We missed a coffee maker. But they do provide coffee in the morning from 7 to 12 a.m. This is more a personell thing because we drink coffee all day !
Location: see above
Very easy to get to ! Just take the bus from Cancun Airport (Lane No. 2) to Playa del Carmen. Reaching the bus station the hotel is in a walking distance even with baggage. (1/4 mile). Nice and helpful staff. Very clean and spacy rooms. But you shouldn´t stay in the hotel, you should enjoy the beach, the culture, the food and the people. Very safe place to stay. Police is visible everywhere ! The hotel is located between small shops and local restaurants, very conveniant to everything. Rental cars are about 200 yards away even a WalMart Super Store is in a 10 min walking distance. We will choose this hotel again !

Lunasol, it's all good !

Posted Feb 23, 2014
Pros: A very clean, pleasant place to spend the night, near Fifth Avenue and the Beach. There is a huge turtle aquarium in the front lobby. Nice pool.
Cons: If bottled water was offered in the room, it would be appreciated. You had to go to the front desk to get clean water. Not a big problem.
Location: You have close proximity to everything to do in Playa de Carmen. Shopping, fine food and the beach are all within walking distance.
Only stayed one night this time around. We will even stay longer next time, because we liked it. The Lunasol met all our needs. The only negative occurrence was when we arrived early to the hotel we had to wait for the room to be cleaned. We somehow lost a small bag with a newly purchased blanket and some beverages. Somewhere between the time we got dropped off at Lunasol, and waited until the room was ready, the bag went missing. The staff watched our luggage while we waited by the pool. We don't know if we left it in lobby and somebody picked it up but it never made it to the room with us. Maybe it was our fault for leaving it out of our sight or it found a new home with a fellow travel or staff member. It had a value of under $20, so no big loss but we were just wondering where it wound up ! A minor glitch, but watch your stuff. Nothing was missing from our luggage, which was placed in a holding room.

Pros: Very Clean...
Cons: Nothing..
Location: 2 blks from the beach and 5th Ave. We did not need transportation for the week we were there everything was within walking distance to the hotel.
The place felt like home.. Very quiet and clean. The staff was wonderful, able to provide us with needed items and directions. This is the first place we have gone to in Mexico that we will be going back again next year.

Simply delightful

Pros: Beautiful pool area with garden, location, location, location, outstanding helpful staff
Cons: The beds are hard, but they put foam covers on mattress when asked to make it more comfortable
Location: 5th Avenue shops and restaurants, beach, and Collectivo shuttle
The accommodations are very simple and basic but the location, service, and atmosphere are basically great. All staff, including manager, went out of their way every day to insure a pleasant stay. Location right near 5th Avenue but away from the noise was perfect. Short couple blocks to the beach and to Collectivo, a shuttle service which took us to all the beaches along Riviera Maya for less than $4 each!

A convenient hotel

Posted Feb 1, 2014
Pros: We liked the location, quiet setting, clean room and grounds and great staff. Its close to 5th ave, but no noise at the hotel.
Cons: The pillows were firm.
Location: Perfect location. Food of any type, shopping at Walmart, no need for a taxi.
We spent 6 nights at the Lunasol and enjoyed our stay. There are great eating places around the hotel that we frequented. The staff was very well trained and answered any questions we had. There was no noise from the surrounding roundsthat affected our sleep. The turtles were neat to watch in the lobby pool.
