Grand vacation!Posted Mar 1, 2015
It's the fourth time we've stayed in this resort. While over years we have stayed in other very good places including Iberostar Grand Jamaica, Iberostar Grand in Riviera Maya is the best and we keep coming back to it. Nice, quiet and yet exciting and entertaining luxurious place! The property is maintained in a great condition all the time. The front desk, butlers, cleaning maids are very attentive and trying accommodate. Food is the best! We've met the man in charge of the restaurants (Moses) first time in Jamaica. Both there and now in Riviera Maya he manages his staff superbly. He seems to be in all restaurants at the same time seeing everything and making sure the guests are served at the highest standards. Olivia is a great morning cook and the hostess. Jorge greatly helped us with the special food orders. The four a la carte restaurants and the buffet are all so good that my wife had a hard time deciding on where to go. Nice problem to have! Highly recommend.

Best all-inclusive ever.Posted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Everything is spread out at the pool. Never felt like strangers were sitting in my lap. The whole place is just lovely. Staff was very friendly.
Location: Close enough to airport. We took a trip to Playa del Carmen. Never again. Our dinner was a ripoff.
This was our second stay at the Grande. Costs a little more, but worth it. Poolside grill at lunchtime had steak, lobster, and lamb chops. Some restaurants better than others. We actually enjoyed the dinner buffet, but the steak house is worth a repeat visit.

Iberostar GRANDEST of All !Posted Feb 5, 2015
Cons: IMPERFECTIONS: Yes, nothing on this earth can be perfect, although the Grand is as close to Heaven as you can get. Two small items that I hope the man
My wife and I have been blessed in recent years with the opportunity to visit several top-rated Caribbean ‘all-inclusives’; including Secrets Maroma and Excellence Riviera Maya in Mexico. Each of these resorts offers something uniquely special and I would not hesitate to recommend any of them; but after relaxing for 10 days in one of the Grand’s luxuriously appointed ‘Villa’s, I can honestly say that the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso is a notch above them all in most every aspect. SERVICE: Undoubtedly their strongest attribute, they have brought it up the level of many 5 star city hotels, and in some respects even higher because it seems that ‘their HEART is really in the game’. Our butler (Victor) bent over backwards to help me with special requests, such as switching out the DVD player in our room so that I could play my grand-children’s hand-made music videos as a surprise for my wife. He also arranged for numerous little ‘surprise’ treats for my wife and I as we celebrated our wedding anniversary, and made sure that my wife had 2 regular sized bottles of her favorite domestic zinfandel wine brought to the room every day. The maître-d (Leonardo) in the buffet area also helped me pull off a surprise treasure hunt for my wife, arranged for a Mexican quintet to play and sing at our table, and at another dinner he surprised us with a special cake. CHECK-IN: The easiest ever because they carted us around to look at a couple of options, and the actual check-in procedure for an

The food is delicious so many options to choose from. Can not say enough about the Iberostar. Pool service is awesome. Drinks are made from top shelf igredients. Beach is beautiful! You will not be disappointed if you choose Iberostar Grand! Adults only!

Everything is great, the food falls shortPosted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: Everything but some of the food. Incredible place, this is definitely a recommendation
Cons: Food!! buffet food was cold most of the time, and we found undercooked stuff a few times too.
This place is Grand, a mini-city, there are 5 Lobbies (hotels) in the complex, this is the one to be at. Gorgeous grounds, buildings, beach, pool, restaurants, etc. The staff is phenomenal, and always around and willing to help. The concierge department will do anything you ask them, from making reservations to preparing you a bath. The different restaurants they have a good, but just fall short of everything else in the place. The food is not terrible by any means, but is definitely not as good as you expect it to be. My advise, have lunch at the grill by the pool, for dinner my favorite restaurants were the French and Surf and Turf. The beach is gorgeous, but has lots of rocks, walk to the right (away from the resort) and you will find a nicer beach. They need more palapas, I had to get up at 6:30a to secure one, that's ridiculous, but not uncommon. Look at the size of the resort, compare it to the amount of beach chairs they have, you'll understand.

Ocean view room is INCREDIBLE!!!Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: The service was top notch. Every employee we encountered did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The bed in the room is so comfty
Cons: Al a Carte restaurants. Hated making reservations. Also food while good didn't seem to compare with buffet. Which is odd.
My husband and I waited four hours to check in. The hotel made this up to us by upgrading us to an ocean front room. The view from the room was exquisite. It felt like we were right on the beach. At night we went to sleep hearing the sounds of the waves. The room was very clean and the maid service was top notch. Drinks were delicious; electric lemonade, bloody mary, mojito were our favorites. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Food was fresh. Loved having an omlette made to order. The breakfast donuts, homemade were yummy as were the morning cakes which seemed to have just been baked! Plenty of healthy options; yogurts, oatmeal and fruit. Lunch buffet incredible. I don't usually like buffets due to poor quality of food, but at the Iberostar Grand the buffet was fresh and lots of options. I loved having grilled lobster every day for lunch. The Gourmet and Italian were our favorite al a carte.

This was our fifth time at this resort and we are finding it hard to consider going someplace else. It has it all…great golf, great food and great accommodations.
