Best All-Inclusive!

We had a really great experience at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso. The Grand section is very private with the feel of a small resort, but the conveniences of all of the surrounding amenities of the rest of the Paraiso portfolio. The food is incredible, the grounds are beautiful and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the villas and the golf course!

Amazing Oceanfront All Inclusive

Pros: Everything was 5 star. The staff was so friendly and we just loved them!
Cons: Can't imagine what could be improved.
Location: We stayed on site because there was so much to do. The food at the 5 restaurants was delicious that we didn't feel the need to find anything better.
We had the most amazing experience at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso!

Luxury resort with beautiful pools close to beach

Pros: The food at the restaurants was amazing ! Book your reservations upon arrival, unless you don't mind eating at 9pm. or later.
The grand for adults only is the perfect setting for a true relaxing vacation. The staff was beyond amazing. Our butler service was superb. The wait staff in the restaurants couldn't do enough for us. The golf course was great too. I'm glad we played twice while there. Bring your own golf balls as they are quite expensive to buy, rental clubs are 55. 00 @ person.

The Grand continues to deliver

Pros: Excellent service, amenities, and value are also found at the Golf Course whether you are a guest of the resort or not.
Cons: I look forward to seeing the Golf Villas and other expansion efforts that will offer even more accommodation options in the Grand's future!
Location: The Segway tours of the Iberostar Resort properties (Segway Fun -Tours) are informational and fun for the whole family... well worth the $40 US each.
Paying a little extra for this 18+ resort is well worth the money. No problem finding a comfortable place to lay in the sun OR shade... Five star dining, amenities, and service... excellent shows... well kept grounds... probably the best golf course in Mexico. We have stayed in a quiet pool view room and ocean front suite. The amount you want to spend for a room upgrade should depend on how much time you will spend in the room or use the extra services that come with it. They are all spacious, cool, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The a la cart restaurants should be booked shortly after arrival if not before you get there... but the buffet has a great variety amazing food also so you will be well fed either way. The Staff go out of their way to cater to your needs... whether that means being left alone or pampered silly. The Start friends are extremely personable but not bothersome. They make a special effort to get to know you if you give them the chance. Beautiful beach with very soft white sand. More wind, waves, and seaweed this year but they make a great effort to keep the majority of the beach in tip-top shape.

Totally relaxing

Pros: We paid up for the corner unit with Jacuzzi and asked for 2nd or 3rd floor. We got the 1st. It was awful. Hotel staff walking right along the rail.
Cons: The website allows you to customize your visit - waste of time. They just send an email to tell you to talk to the concierge on check in.
Fantastic setting, amazing staff and the restaurants were fantastic -- especially the Italian. They need to be more honest about room location. We asked for 2nd or 3rd floor. We paid up for a corner jacuzzi suite and got the 1st floor. It was awful. Hotel staff walking right along the railing. We would have rather taken a 2nd or 3rd floor suite without the jacuzzi than the 1st floor with the jacuzzi. Was not worth the extra money given the total lack of privacy. After 3 days, they moved us up to the 3rd floor which was nice. But we had to ask every day and every day they said there was no record we'd asked before.

Grand vacation!

It's the fourth time we've stayed in this resort. While over years we have stayed in other very good places including Iberostar Grand Jamaica, Iberostar Grand in Riviera Maya is the best and we keep coming back to it. Nice, quiet and yet exciting and entertaining luxurious place! The property is maintained in a great condition all the time. The front desk, butlers, cleaning maids are very attentive and trying accommodate. Food is the best! We've met the man in charge of the restaurants (Moses) first time in Jamaica. Both there and now in Riviera Maya he manages his staff superbly. He seems to be in all restaurants at the same time seeing everything and making sure the guests are served at the highest standards. Olivia is a great morning cook and the hostess. Jorge greatly helped us with the special food orders. The four a la carte restaurants and the buffet are all so good that my wife had a hard time deciding on where to go. Nice problem to have! Highly recommend.
