Beautiful resort and people

Everything was fantastic. The staff is so attentive, particularly Marcelino! The food was delicious, the drinks cold and the views spectacular. They even gave us a free upgrade to an oceanfront room with a Jacuzzi on the balcony. The concierge and staff make everyone feel like VIPs. Most of the trip we stayed at the resort, although we did do one half-day excusion to the Tulum ruins. Lots of excursion options but the resort is so relaxing and wonderful I probably would just stay there the whole time.

Very good hotel. Comfort is great!

Pros: Our friends highly recommended this hotel.
Cons: We stayed in Bldg 70. Everything was great, just water in shower was not good. Every minute it was really hot - cold, cold - hot.
Location: Location is great. In the evening we had long walk to the other Iberostar hotels.
Luxury hotel with great service. Beach is very close. Food is excellent.

Location: I never left!
From the staff, the grounds, the elegant room, the gorgeous ocean view to the food... excellent is the best word that I can come up with. We stayed nine nights and truly relaxed. I did water aerobics twice a day to help compensate for my food consumption! I ate lobster twice per day and grilled fish and fresh, fresh salads. I could not have been happier. The marble in this hotel is extravagant and well cared for. Every employee says hello as they pass and I don't believe that a hotel could do a single thing more than they did. I have been to MANY all inclusive's and my only hesitation in recommending this further, is that they will realize their value and raise their prices!!!

A super resort

My adult daughters and I were on a "girls" trip. We could not have chosen a better resort. All four of us loved everything about it. Rooms, overall service, amazing food, and super friendly, helpful staff. We all want to return and hopefully will!

I love the GRAND, however...

Pros: Premium alcohol and Beach Service
Cons: Service Delivery and please improve the Star Friends activity, it was extremely weak.
This is my 5th visit to an Iberostar Grand, and second Grand visit at this hotel in Mexico. I must say I do like this brand, the premium alcohol, good food, and good service, however. This hotel is slowly dating, and so is the service. The personal butler I did not meet until I made a rare complaint. The room they put us in was in the lower floor, more like a basement, and my wife and I asked for a change. This hotel really has no views unless you pay for ocean front, but that building is too far from the lobby. They change our room two the first floor (one level above ground), and our view was on the quiet pool side, but we couldn’t see anything - only large bushes and trees blocking the view. The hotel front desk was not effective at all even with big tips; they all seem to be too new or very green in what they do. We sat at Hibachi with a 9PM reservation, did not get the chef out there until 10:15 and served the main dish at 10:30! The best feature is the morning room service when you leave your order on the door the night before, but this failed twice. They did fix the issue very quickly. I can be nit picking here, however for the new higher price, I rather spend a night at top notch hotel and buy myself fresh dinners rather than redundant food. The whole experience felt as if the staff was on a script that failed many times and no real supervision was present to correct.
