Wonderful experience

Posted Apr 17, 2014
My husband and I have stayed at various AI's. This one rates as one of the best. The food was varied and good. The rooms are nothing out of the ordinary, but very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The grounds are amazing. The wildlife and manicured gardens are amazing. Many photo ops. And beautiful for walks. Speaking of which, this resort is huge. Lots of walking, which was fine with us after eating so much good food. There was enough to do, we never felt the need to leave the resort. We were very impressed with the access and amenities for the handicapped. We have never seen a resort that took such attention to details to allow those with physical limitations the ability to enjoy the beach and water without a problem. Would definitely consider going back to this resort. And we usually try to switch it up each trip.

nice hotel but watch the time when you travel

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: it is worth a try, very clean, pretty good buffets
Cons: pool and beach bathrooms are not clean and smelly.
The hotel was nice, food is great even though you are entitled to only several guaranteed dinner reservations per stay (depending on the length of stay) at a la carte restaurants. We stayed for 6 nights, so we could have 2 guaranteed dinner reservations. During my previous stays in Riviera Maya, none of other hotels was ever doing it but because we usually travel at a different time of the year I thought first it was because of a different season, however when I asked the employees of the hotel, they told me they had the same regulation throughout the whole year. We also traveled two weeks before spring break and there were lots of teenagers very often not really sober, so it was a bit disturbing since we traveled with a small kid. The beach water was not calm all the days we stayed there so we most of the time swam in a pool which was great. Overall, the hotel was definitely worth a try and is pretty good, but for my next trip I would probably choose a different one.

Iberostar Paraiso Beach has something for everyone

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: The service, the grounds, the food, the drinks, the activities, the beach with just the right amount of surf, the pools, the rooms and the people
Cons: We did have two issues with our room, but these were promptly taken care of. Our door lock wasn't working and our clock was broken on arrival.
Location: Playa del Carmen was fun and much less expensive for purchasing souvenirs than at the hotel.
We recently completed our 5th stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach. Just love it there. The grounds are kept perfectly, with loads of tropical plants and flowers along the many winding pathways. In addition, there are lots of natural wildlife scattered about the grounds, like peacocks, iguana, pink flamingos, parrots, and such. The food and service were, as always excellent. All of the servers were courteous and efficient. The pools were immaculate, even during the March Spring Break time. While the hotel was fairly crowded, we were always able to find chairs by the pool and at the beach. The various activities wer great- varied and well run. Our favorite this year was the Segway tour. A bit of an extra cost but very well worth it! All in all- Great vacation for this family of one mom and three kids ages 18,17 and 8.

My fifth time around, this year food menu got bad , it gets old to eat pizza and hamburgers, on top of that their alcohol got from absolut vodka or don Julio to unknown brands, they carry only dos xx beer, you get a lot of breakfast from dinner left overs, besides that it is a great place with good service

Great hotel, everything is open air.

Pros: It was beautiful and the staff is incredible.
Cons: No allowing people to reserve chairs by the pool and beach.
Location: close to airport and playa de carmen for shopping.
Wonderful place. Most all areas are outside and open air. Not much in side with air conditioning which is great if you pick the right time of yr to visit.

Had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Posted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Beautiful, full of flora and fauna! Lovely surroundings. Beautiful pool.
Cons: Not having to wait for an hour to get specialty restaurant reservations. Took for ever. Felt like we had to waste half a day for just this.
Location: Close to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun for shopping. Nice little shopping area next to resort. Within walking distance.
Well kept and clean. Employees were all very pleasant, polite and helpful. Plenty of food options even in the buffets. Always something to do, day and evenings.

our get away from the snow at home

Pros: the food was good, the rooms were comfortable, pool is absolutely beautiful, great beach, great entertainment staff.
the food and rooms were good. The pool was beautiful. we spent a lot of time on the beach, enjoyed many of the activities: bocce ball, horse shoes, archery, air rifle, yoga, Olympics. the show "rock" was fantastic. the only downside is there is a lot of walking, approximately 1/2 mile from lobby to beach. If I would stay again, I would request a room closer to the pool. I wish the website would have been clearer that it is really 4 resorts in one complex. we stayed at paraiso beach, our room was right beside the lindo. the first day we did not know where the boundaries were (they were not explained at all), we started to walk and stopped at the first bar we saw and they wouldn't give us a drink because we had the wrong color wrist band.
