Beautiful hotel. Staff was great. Food was good not great. Drinks were good with premium alcohol.

50th Birthday Celebration, 8/17-8/21

Pros: There is so much to do. You will never get bored. I liked the golf carts to get you around. It is very convenient.
Cons: Please clean linen after every use.
I stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo in Riviera Maya for a 50th birthday celebration. Overall I enjoyed the resort. I had no problems getting reservations at all of the restaurants for dinner. There is so much to do that we weren't able to even see all that the resort offered. I would recommend staying here if you do not have any walking disabilities. Every day I was there except for the last day I walked at least 4 miles. However, there are golf carts that will take you everywhere. You may have to wait but the drivers are very kind and friendly. The room was cleaned well every day and they offered a nice touch of making decorations out of towels. You received a different towel design daily such as a little lady, an elephant, and a woman. The only real complaints are the check in process and the dining room. The check in process takes entirely too long. It took us 4 hours to get checked in. I have no idea why it took so long. The lunch never changed (always hot dogs, hamburgers and French fries). The worst though was that the staff would not change the table linen. They would just flip it over. I actually sat a table where the top of the table was cleaned, but right in front of me on the side of the cloth that falls vertically off of the table was filled with old food. I didn't notice until after I had eaten. I spoke to the manager about it and they said they would correct it. Hopefully it was taken care of.

Large resort with several pool options or beach.

We stayed for 7 days in August 2014. The staff were nice (smiled) but not friendly very few speak english so our little Spanish came in handy. We found getting service for a drink on beach or pool area was long so much faster to retrieve your own. Rooms were nice-beds comfortable. Food in the buffets were not great (lots of choices but not tasty) we found it odd that they did not have scrimp but one night served with the eyes and tail on. Drinks were normal they do not carry what we consider top shelf liqueur but we found some whiskey that was fine. Beach had sea weed every where for first 4 days making that area unwanted but there were several pool options and once the sea weed was cleaned up from beach it subsided making the beach nice to swim in. Over all this resort is a nice family oriented spot.

A Wonderful place to vacation

Pros: The food was excellent....the buffet always had a number of different possibilities and the specialty restaurants were very good.
Cons: We have gone to this hotel a number of times....and even though we love it, the rooms are looking a little worn. Needs some renovations!
Location: There are a lot of things to do in terms of trips....we have done many things over the years and have enjoyed them all!
We have been to the Iberostar Lindo about 4 times in the past. We thoroughly enjoy it and have always had a really nice time staying there. The grounds are beautiful and the staff work hard to make your stay an enjoyable one. The pool and the beach are really beautiful. We stayed during the week of Auust 8-16th....it was very hot!

A nice resort

Pros: The pool was really nice , beach was nice.
Cons: I would like to see more food options and cleaner Pool .
Overall I was pleased with the resort . I do believe small improvements can be made . On some days I found the pool dirty . The beach restaurant ends to offer more variety for food. We travel to Mexico it would be nice to have burritos , tacos etc ... Instead they offered hamburger and hotdogs ....

Nice hotel with plenty of amenities

Pros: Staff and facilities.
We recently stayed there for the first time. We have stayed at other Iberostars, so we kind of knew what to expect. We have 2 kids ages 10 and 7 and they thoroughly enjoyed the 5 day trip as well. Here are some of the highlights: Hotel lobby has free wifi and is air conditioned, plenty of food choices from the buffets to the individual restaurants, a variety of pools (some for adults and some for kids), our kids loved the wave pool, the beach is good but not great (some areas have rocks in the water), the Kid's Club keeps the little ones very entertainined, and lastly the best part is their staff. Their waiters, maids and bartenders work very hard for very little pay, so make sure you tip them to let them know you appreciate their hard work.

9 days in paradise.

What a beautiful hotel! The food is very good and big variety. The beach is excellent with very warm water and white sand. All kinds of sport activities you can do there: volleyball , soccer, kayaking, snorkeling, yoga etc. The hotel is beautifully kept and is very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definetly return back to this hotel:-)

Nice pools for kids and adults

Pros: staff were friendly. Great pools for adults and kids. Resort was clean overall. Cons: dinner at the sit down reservation restaurants were disappointing. The food was overcooked for most of the dishes. Attended the wedding, had surf and turf, the lobster was very small and they only give you half. The lobster tasted powdery which means it was not fresh and the steak was way overcooked and tasted like cardboard. Friends ordered room service, waited 2 hours and never came even after calling several times. Resort needs to add more varieties to the main buffet. They need to put out more serving utensils and people we're contaminating the food by leaving the tongs/serving spoons on the food in the serving dish. The room decor was outdated. Other than that, my room was ok overall but our friends' rooms had a lot of mosquitos and bathroom smelled like sewage. Bar ran out of Remy VSOP (top shelf) after the 1st night we were there. They need to stock up unless they were just lying to us. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach and they also need to put out more lounge chairs on the beach.

We apologize if the food in our buffet and room service did not live up your expectations; we try to provide variety as well as adding a different theme each night in our buffets with Oriental, Spanish and Mexican food among others. Our Executive Chef will be informed about your feedback to take all of your points into account. As for your comment about the mosquitoes, we apologize about that situation. The hotel has a weekly fumigation program in rooms to keep bugs away and a daily fumigation for common areas, since these insects live in our tropical environment. But in cases where guests report any additional problem, we assist them right away with extra fumigations and follow up during the week to make sure mosquitoes or ants stay away.
