Needs to do a few improvements.Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: The landscape. The exotic birds everywhere. All the animals around the area. Great work out room. Carlos in fitness room was wonderful.
Cons: Food and bar service.
Location: Playa de Carmen Beach and good shopping. . Swim with dolphins. Take ferry to Cozumel. Excaret.
Loved our vacation. A few things I didn't car about was the fact that we had the all inclusive package and their was only one pool with swim up bar and one waitress working all pools to serve drinks. So basically you have to go to swim up bar for a drink. And wait. Drinks are not easy to get. Also we had two rooms. One room a/c worked great. The other not so great and the fan made a horrible clicking noise. Upon arrival the staff at front desk really just try's to get you gone. Not helpful at all. Not worried about getting you rooms side beside. Not concerned if you need two beds instead of one king. We had three ppl in each room they just said oh sorry we can give you a roll away. Really when you have three ppl in a room does that mean you will need at least two beds. They didn't have enough towel cards for pool. Told us they would send one up. Never came. Tried to book restaurants upon arrival and was told we could not get reservations for first day. Food was just ok. Not great. If you are wanting to relax and not have a lot of excitement this is for you. Evening shows are not good. Playa de Carmen beach is a $11.00 us taxi ride away. One way but great beach. This place really doesn't have a beach. If you plan to be at resort most of time I would stay somewhere else.

Great VacationPosted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: The staff....they are friendly and always looking for what you need to make your stay even better.
Cons: Concierge service at the individual buildings, very disappointing.
Location: XPLOR should be on top of your list of things to do, it is fantastic.
This resort is great, lot's of pools good lagoon style beach area. Food and Beverage staff is over the top, they are on the ball always making sure you have what you need. The Housekeeping staff are wonderful, fast and efficient they do a great job and nothing was ever out of place. The grounds are manicured everyday and with the setting in the jungle it's a perfect setting. We stayed 11 days and wanted to stay even more.

We had to find our own way to our room, the hotel is so big that I think they should have someone escort you, it was not easy. You can only reserve at two restaurants. They do not tell you what the hotel has to offer. They are constantly stopping you trying to sell you excursions or "vacation clubs".

Nice hotel and Great for familiesPosted Jul 2, 2014
Very good service, food was good and lots of restaurants to choose from. This hotel is right next to Xcarat park so you have easy access. It's also close to Explore park so there's lots of activities to keep you entertained. Pools were many and large, you had a choice to be with many people or be alone. The beach was also nice especially for snorkeling. Overall a very good experience. Just please, whoever goes to these types of hotels with would animals around, don't feed them! They need to remain wild and be able to hunt for their own food!

Beautiful MediocrityPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: location and friendly staff.
Cons: Wi-Fi is too expensive. Cards for Towels, Why? Offer room service. Don't brag about amenities then tell me I need to upgrade.
Location: Plenty to do nearby. Archeological sights, cenotes, snorkel, water parts such as Xcaret, Xplor, Xel-Ha
No doubt the outwordly appearance of the hotel is stunning and beautiful. The location deep in the lush jungle is captivating and a sight to behold. The staff is warm, friendly. That being said as a "member" of the timeshare club, I was downright disappointed with many details of this 4 star resort. Our room was not clean or ready. There were bowls with potato chip crumbs that remained unclean for 4 days despite placing them on the bed for the cleaning crew to see. Instead they were moved aside to a desk every time. There was also a colony of tiny ants throughout the room; along the headboard, walls, night stands, and coffee bar. Although maintenance came a couple of times, eventually their best solution was to give us a can of Raid bug spray, so we wouldn't have to call them again. Apparently we couldn't get another room since the hotel was booked full. The toilet paper holder was initially missing but the shower the drain was bent upward with screws protruding and was never repaired. Wi-Fi is not included, is expensive yet very slow and unreliable. They do not use straws for their drinks due to the environment (unless of course you're in the First Club or a Royal Club member). The reservations only dinner restaurants are understaffed, rarely refills your drinks and consistently forget what you asked for. Even silverware was inconsistent. Often a simple spoon for coffee/tea or dinner napkin was missing. Ask for one and they consistently forget.

beautiful surroundings, very helpful staff, food was pretty good, the only negative comment would be membership/timeshare solicitations, otherwise perfect

Loved the canopies and the hammocks by the beach. The swings by the bar and the activities were fun.

The best resort I've ever been too!Posted Jun 25, 2014
Huge resort with with many things to see and to do! Great beach, fun pools and the fact that the resort is actually in the eco-archaeological park area adds a special feel to it, which is very unique. My family and I all admit that this was the best resort we've been to in Mexico!
