Schönes Hotel in StrandnähePosted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Die Optik.

Great little hotel right on 5th Avenue.Posted Apr 3, 2015
Great staff always willing to accommodate. Good location right on 5th. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. Lots of restaurant close by and 1 block from the beach.

Nice hotel close to shopping and restaurantsPosted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Close to shopping, restaurants, and only a few blocks (walking distance) to beach.
Cons: Air conditioning didn't work well and the water heater took several minutes to warm up to showering comfort level.
This is the 2nd year we've stayed at this hotel and was fine for 1 night. Our air conditioning didn't work very well and the water took several minutes to heat to a level I was comfortable to shower in but the location in Playa is great.

Quiet hotel on the main streetPosted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: We found the Posada Mariposa to be a most enjoyable place to stay due to its convenient, yet quiet location, on the main street of Playa del Carmen.
Cons: The air conditioning can be a bit noisy.
Location: We came for a wedding; go to the Coco Bongo! Also see: Escaret, Tulum, Cobah, Chichen Itza and Uxmal.
We found the Posada Mariposa to be a most enjoyable place to stay in; the staff were superb, the location very convenient without being noisy or too crowded, yet close enough to everything. The staff are a major asset in this hotel and they couldn't have been more helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Playa del Carmen.

Nice locationPosted Feb 21, 2015
We thought the hotel nice and we enjoyed our stay . The staff was friendly, but could not accomplish anything they were ask to do . They were not able to replace our alarm clock , and when we ask for a wake up call we did not get it. We asked for toilet paper and they did not bring any. The hotel has no ice machine and I think this would be a great addition to the hotel. The location is excellent . The rooms are clean and nicely renovated .

Great location but not recently renovated & noisy!Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Staff kept room clean and tidy.
Cons: Realistic photos in advertising or update your rooms and hotels to the standards which you have indicated.
Location: Central, lots of restaurants, close to beach. Affiliated with La Vagabunda which we are not fond of for other reasons.
Well upon booking we were told we'd have a balcony, but we never got one. And although the hotel was in a great location, it was noisy due its design and not courteous guests. The hotel states it has been recently renovated. Not at all true. The mattress was a box spring, the tile and grout floors falling apart, the shower didn't drain, the sink was falling off the wall....so displeased with this. Front staff although pleasant and accommodated requests were not outgoing and friendly which is unlike Mexicans. Water cooler was often empty as well. This is our 6th stay in Playa del Carmen, the 4th in a boutique hotel. I would not return here.

Not suitable for 3 peoplePosted Feb 5, 2015
Cute place but tiny dark damp and windowless. Mold must and pouring rain thru center of hotel made it very slippery. Noise from people walking up stairs was more then loud. Nice front desk people can't make up for it. Only go if your getting it for 50$ or less.
