The Royal Hideaway is a fabulous resort! The food and service is superb and the beach/pool area is amazing! I would definitely stay here again. I have only two small complaints. 1) The gym area and equipment need a complete overhaul and updating. Two of the bicycles were not working and most of the equipment is outdated. 2) We booked a room with two double beds, but none were available when we checked in. The next day they tried to put us in a double room, but it reeked of cigarette smoke. We ended up staying in our original room with a roll away.

The accommodations were luxurious and the setting beautiful. All staff were very friendly and helpful! It was very romantic!

“Loved It!”

The staff was really friendly. At the pool, waiters would walk up every few minutes offering fruit, drinks, and cold towels to use for your face! The food was great and they offered lots of activities. It was a very calm and relaxing trip with NO kids running around the pool area. I also received a massage at the spa which was great. I would love to come back!

“Great Getaway”

The hotel room was beautiful. Everything was first class. The lobby was loud during the day which we could hear clearly, however we were not in our room too much during the day. It may need a little touchup in a few areas but overall it was beautiful.

“Great adults only all inclusive”

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is adults only, and it was a very nice crowd. The people are very friendly and helpful. It's not a large hotel, so everything is convenient. The beach has been restored since the hurricane and is beautiful. We've been to other 5 star hotels. We love Royal Hideaway, and would go again if the price is right, but they are missing some of the special touches that I feel would earn them 5 stars.

Everything about this resort is great. It lives up to all the claims it makes on its website and exceeds many of them. The staff is wonderful and they take GREAT care of you. I ready every review of almost every resort in Playa and finally decided on this one and I am so glad I did. This place is in a league of its own, they go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay possible. Book NOW you wont be sorry!

“A slice of heaven”

We loved everything about Royal Hideaway. The staff was gracious and helpful at all times. The grounds were impeccably maintained. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The food was outstanding. Every night was something different and delicious. The little touches made it so special...and I don't want to write what they were because the surprise factor made them so much more special. I would definitely recommend Royal Hideaway to the most seasoned traveler without hesitation. A true find!
