ESTANCIA EN EL HOTEL SANDOS CARACOL

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: LA FORMA EN QUE ESTA DISTRIBUIDO EL HOTEL Y QUE CUENTA CON MUCHOS ATRACTIVOS VISUALES, SOBRE TODO LA VEGETACION Y LAS RUINAS.
Cons: AMPLIAR UN POCO LA RECEPCION, EN EL AREA DE REGISTRO Y CHECK OUT, YA QUE SIENTO QUE TARDA UNO MUCHO TIEMPO EN LOS TRAMITES, SOBRE TODO EN HORAS PICO.
Location: LOS ESPECTACULOS SON DE PRIMER NIVEL Y CAMBIAN TODOS LOS DIAS, POR LO QUE ES UNA GRAN DIVERSION. LA ZONA DE LA ALBERCA DE NIÑOS ESTA MUY BIEN.
EL HOTEL CUENTA CON MAGNIFICOS SERVICIOS EN TODAS SUS AREAS. LA HABITACION DE BUEN TAMAÑO CON TODOS LOS SERVICIOS Y AMENIDADES QUE REQUIERE. HAY VARIOS RETAURANTES CON DIFERENTES TIPOS DE ALIMENTOS, LOS BUFFETS CON UN GRAN SURTIDO Y UNA EXCELENTE CALIDAD. LOS BARES QUE SON VARIOS CON UN MAGNIFICO SERVICIO Y UNA AMPLIA GAMA DE BEBIDAS PARA DISFRUTAR. EN GENERAL TODO MUY BIEN

Buena experiencia pero esperaba mas

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Comida y eventos.

No swimmable beach, mosquitoes

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Staff, grounds, trails, cenote
Cons: Bring the beach back! Kill mosquitoes
Location: Playa del Carmen is only few minutes away on taxi. Lots of parks and attractions within minutes (Xcaret, Xplore, Dolphinaris, even Walmart)
We were in this hotel in 2011 and had the time of our life! They met us with glass of champagne, the beach was protected from waves with sand bags, and the buffet had different food every day, and they sprayed mosquitoes nightly. None of that anymore! And literally no beach!! Just sharp rocks and for 8 days we've been there we only saw very few desperate people swimming, or trying to swim in the ocean. The staff however was amazing, always accommodating, smiling and ready to help. The nightly shows (even the kid’s ones) were entertaining and very professional. The grounds are immaculate and there are many trails to walk or bike. There is natural cenote to snorkel, and small river that flows thru (they offer boat rides) But if you came for the ocean - go to Playacar area (and we did)- it has probably the best beach I've ever been to - no rocks, white sand, gradual slope, cleanest water, and colorful fishes.

nice all-inclusive for families

Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: cenote nice natural attraction
Location: good location, a few minutes from mall, ruins by car.
we stayed 4 days, the food was "OK" always the same menu, the Mexican restaurant was out of service. Hotel staff ok, the beach clean but the ocean with rocks and algae, not suitable to swim but ok to feel the salty water

Love this place, so unique!

Posted Jan 16, 2015
The Eco experience is so different than other all inclusives in Mexico. Great food, best was the Argentine Steak house. The Mayan shows were awesome expecially the fire show. We enjoyed a free champagne boat ride down the river. It's just has so much more than all the others. This is my 6th stay at an all inclusive in Riviera Maya area and 2nd time here. Will definetly be back again!

Excellent Place to Stay with Small Children

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Amenities, activities, room, food, Kids Club
Cons: Beach has a lot of seaweed and stones under water, can't be improved though, it is what it is, we still enjoyed playing on the sand.
Location: Loved the location, went to Xcaret park two times, it's about 15 minutes away, the taxi is still kind of expensive though.
Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Kids Club is awesome, we were able to leave our two kids there for couple of hours to enjoy dinner together. Food was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the kids water park, swimming in the Cenote and a boat ride in the river. Enjoyed the shows. Saw a lot of animals which was really neat (monkeys, raccoons, coatis, iguanas). There are plenty of places to walk around and enjoy nature - trails through mangrove jungle, authentic Mayan ruins; can bike around too.
