“best resort in cancun”
best room service than other hotel in riviera maya.
“Excellent!”
This was my first vacation to Mexico, and while I have never been to an all inclusive resort and have nothing to compare Secrets Capri to, it was amazing. From the minute I stepped off the shuttle I was impressed and relaxed!! The staff at Secrets-superb! I didn't come into contact with one employee that didn't say hello with a smile. They were so friendly and accommodating. The food was great and the daily activities were something to look forward to. Our Best Day travel agent was excellent, as well. (We set up an excursion to Tulum & Xel-Ha. I highly recommend the tour. Our tour guide was funny and sweet and the views were amazing. While I would've wanted more time at Xel-Ha, I'm happy we did the Tulum tour, well worth the money.) From the pick up at the airport to the drop off to head back to reality, I never once felt anxious or worried. Everything was set up & taken care of for us. The room was great and the ocean view from our balcony was beautiful. The maid service was excellent! I can't give the staff enough praise. Well done!! Can't wait to visit again!
“great place”
We have been to several all-inclusives and this was just as good as the other Dreams and Secrets we have been to. The food was really good, bars were great - we particularly enjoyed the Sports bar where there was a pool table. The beach was marginal as far as wanting to go in the ocean - there was a lot of debris and a lot of sand was churned up with the waves coming in and out. However the pool was excellent so we actually spent more time in that. The only complaint (and I think very minor) was that the housekeeping time was very sporadic - one day they didn't come to clean until after 5PM and we had been out of the room all day. Very friendly staff and no pressure by salespeople.
“Good but not great”
This was the first time that my wife and I have ever gone to an all-inclusive. We are a working class young couple from Detroit, and we deemed this to be the long over due honey that we chose to postpone because of our daughter. While we enjoyed our experience, we will probably take advantage of another resort next time. The staff was amazing, and the people were always nice, but I'm looking for more of a WOW factor. From initial impressions, we defintely experienced that WOW factor when we were 'invited' to a time-share presenation at the Secrets Maroma. The place was gorgeous and had an amazing beach (ours was close to unihabitable because of mud, rocks, and tree stumps). Ultimately, the food was good(minus room service) and the service staff was unbelievably helpful. In the end, I would rank this as a 5 star experience, while my wife and I are looking for the five DIAMOND experience (without the exorbent price). Good luck finding the best resort that fits your lifestyle and expectations!
“Relaxation Realized”
First of all this hotel is small and secluded so if you want action, this is not the hotel for you. But if you want to slow down and relax with no worries this is the one. My husband and I spent 1 week and it really felt like home more than a hotel. They have 5 restaurants and also specialty buffets around the pool. No reservations required. Food was good but not really hot. Bar service was on the beach so we rarely moved. We're workaholics so this is our only way to wind down. Adults only, No kids and someone waiting on you hand and foot all the time. We're making this a yearly trip and will stay in the same room whenever possible.
“Great "All Inclusive" resort!”
Resort staff was very friendly and willing to please. (Socorro, our concierge, was a sweetheart) Be sure to book an ocean view room. It was worth the extra money! The food was good. The beach was clean and we particularly liked the smaller feel of the resort compared to some of the mega resorts you can stay at in the area. The spa experience was also excellent! When we had a leaky air conditioner condenser, the hotel maintenance staff had it fixed before we got back from our Tulum excursion. Tipping is not required but we recommend bringing dollar bills to tip the staff. ($1 to $20 tip, depending on the level of service.)These people deserve it! We recommend this resort if you are looking for a romantic/relaxing experience in the tropics!
“Food got worse, drinks were watered down”
This was our second visit to this Secrets property. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff helpful, but the food and drinks are not what they used to be. We went to every restaurant, and the portions were small and the food in many cases had no taste whatsoever. Very disappointing. Housekeeping was terrible, room service was good. The beach was dirty. Overall, I would not give this hotel more than a 3-star rating, and will never go back.
“We wanted to move in!”
We had a wonderful week-long stay at Secrets Capri. The staff was extremely welcoming, the resort and rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Whle we did often leave for trips into Playa for scuba diving trips and various tours, you could easily stay at Secrets and have everything you could dream of for a fabulous vacation away. We enjoyed all of the dining options and had our fair share of the included drinks! For added enjoyment we took advantage of the romantic dinner on the beach for a perfect proposal. We were more than delighted with our photography session and will be happy to share our photos with family and friends. We'd be happy to return to Secrets Capri as well as check into other Secrets locations!
“Relaxing Honeymoon!”
After researching several hotels, we decided to stay at Secrets Capri. We were very satisfied with the hotel, service, and staff. We were looking for a relaxing honeymoon vacation and that is exactly what we got! The resort is a good size, not too big and not too small. Our room was what we expected (we had an ocean view which mostly looked over the pool but the ocean was in the distance), nothing fancy but we were fine with that b/c we didn't spend much time in our room anyway. Overall the food was very good for an all inclusive place and compared to other places, I would say this is the best we've had. As far as the dress code, as we read others reviews complaining it was too formal, I'd say we'd disagree. It was casual and my husband wore shorts for most of the nights except the night we ate at the steakhouse and he wore khakis and a polo. If you are looking for a nightlife, this isn't really the place. Yes, there is a bar open till 1am, but past 10:00 there aren't any shows or anything. But it was fine for us because we spent the whole day in the sun at the pool and beach and swim up bar, so after dinner we'd go out for a few drinks and then go back to our room. The entertainment staff was so so, I think the activities they had scheduled could have varied a little more day to day and could have been a little more original nd energetic, we've seen better at other resorts. Playa del Carmern was a 20min taxi ride. Overall we would recommend this resort to friends and family!
“Excellent service, clean, relaxing...”
Hotel was clean, rooms very nice, pool area great. Service was outstanding. Very Good restaurants and food. Smaller atmosphere nice. Gym good. Spa outstanding. A great place for quiet vacation with great food and nice, clean rooms. Dorothy
