Well run hotel

Posted Oct 19, 2014
We had a great time, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. The beach had a lot of seating but was a little cramped. Nice pool with swim up bar. Best entertainment of the seven places we have been.

Perfect choice in Mayan Riviera

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Ambience, staff
Cons: entertainment
Everything from the welcome when we arrived and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff were all terrific. Food was very good as were facilities. Evening entertainment was fair at best but otherwise the resort was top notch.

WINE

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The hotel staff was excellent.. Our maid and turn down service was way above what we expected. I can't say enough wonderful things about them.
Location: The location was excellent.
Was not happy with the pressure of having to buy a bottle of wine to get the great seating at the restaurants. This resort is a all-inclusive and that should include every seat in the place. Other then that, our stay was great and would go back again.

Love Secrets Brand, Capri needs a face lift.

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: The small, intimate feel
Cons: The hotel needs a refresh. It's looking a bit tired.
Location: Lots to do, including tours and visiting Playa del Carmen.
We love the Secrets brand. The food, entertainment, and facilities are always great, and most of the staff seemed happy to help. It is a great place to relax, and for those getting married or having an the resort looked tired. Everything from the staff's uniforms, to the patched ceilings, cracked tiles, worn furniture and stained bed linens. Capri just isn't the crisp resort it used to be. However, still a good value, and still a great destination.

Super, Restful, All-Inclusive

Posted Oct 5, 2014
This was our second stay at Secrets Capri and actually better than the first. The hotel has made some really nice improvements--expanded gym, great spa, and they re-imagined their cigar room into a wonderful cafe for coffee sandwiches and snacks. The rooms are terrific and unlike most all-inclusives, Capri leaves the guests alone to have fun without too many silly activities. This is not a place for the party hearty but for those looking for a relaxed vacation. Two problems, the restaurant options still don't make much sense with only the Japanese restaurant really hitting the mark. Then there's Portofino, a staid dark Italian that is like a dated 1950s restaurant in Iowa. I mean really. They can do so much better. Second issue, the staff are amazing!! The friendliest best but then there are others that stick to the rules too closely actually making you feel like your in a prison camp. The managers are aware of this, so keep up the training!! But all in all, a great experience!

Older Hotel, but Great Service!

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Great service from everyone.
Cons: The building itself is a bit old and can use renovations.
Location: We did not leave the resort.
We went to relax and disconnect from our busy lives and we were able to do just that at Secrets Capri. The resort is small so there isn't a whole lot to do, but that was just what we needed. The waiters were great. Enrique, the morning buffet waiter, is very nice and always greets you with a genuine smile. At the pool, you have Moises and Charlie (aka "Pool Volleyball"), they are hard working guys and always get you the drinks (and food) you order. One night Moises was finished with his shift and could have left for the day, but he still went back to get us water bottles. The staff is friendly and personable.
