An oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustlePosted Jun 14, 2015
Pros: Nice pool. Great breakfasts. Clean rooms. Awesome staff.
Cons: At the time of writing they were having problems with the wifi and one of our rooms had no wifi, we could only pick it up in the common areas.
Location: Snorkeling off Cozumel was good but too far. Selvatica is phenomenal for zip lining, ATV's, cenote swimming etc. Xplor Fuego was fun too.
The Bric is just a really very pleasant little hotel in a great location just yards from 5th avenue and the hustle and bustle, but remaining quite and calm and thoroughly pleasant. The rooms are simply furnished but extremely clean and a pleasure to stay in. The pool is not large but was quite large enough to enjoy ourselves as a party of 4 adults, and is extremely peaceful surrounded by tropical plants if you choose not to go to the beach. We'd thoroughly recommend the breakfasts too. At 100 pesos they're excellent value, including fruit with granola, & yoghurt, toast with flavored butters and marmalade, and a varying main course such as eggs, bacon and potatoes plus coffee and juice. Mary does a marvelous job and we found the different courses delicious every day. The reception staff also are incredibly helpful, especially Hilda and Veronica who helped us virtually every day with tours and taxis. If you're expecting 5 star luxury then of course you'll be disappointed but if you're looking for a straightforward hotel with a pool & clean rooms then we'd strongly recommend you give it a try. We've stayed at many of the 4 & 5 star all inclusives in the riviera maya & enjoyed our stay in the Bric more than any of them. In no small part down to the location in the heart of Playa Del Carmen - opportunities to enjoy the local cuisine abound and I'd strongly recommend people to stray off 5th avenue and try some of the smaller eateries; particularly on 10th ave & further north.

Friendly and Comfortably SafePosted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: The friendliness, cleanliness, Safety , proximity to the local action is primo
Cons: A Happy Hour with Snacks and Margaritas from 5 - 7
Location: Anything and everything is close by. this is an excellent location. 10 minutes from the beach and less than 2 minutes from the strip.
Had the best time. All staff went over and above the call of duty for all guests. The location was perfect - not on the main street, but less than a block from it. Very lovely property that was always tended to and always had staff at the front to ensure safety. Very helpful in helping guests with the language or attractions Delicious Breakfast served daily - excellent way to start my day

Amazing place to stay!Posted Feb 20, 2015
Hotel room was really nice, clean and modern. Not very big, but that wasnt a big deal. We didnt bother swimming in pool as it wasnt hot enough as the sun doesnt go on the pool for very long during the day (due to trees, etc - we were there in January). But staff were amazingly helpful with anything you could ever want, and so friendly too! The lady that makes you a home cooked breakfast to order is also amazing and makes the most amazing breakfast food! They even gave us a couple breakfasts for free. But its well worth the extra cost. I would definately stay there again.

Hyvä sijaintiPosted Feb 10, 2015 on Hotels
Hotellissa oli loistava henkilökunta, ja sijainti oli erittäin hyvä, lähellä vilkasta 5 Avenidaa ja kuitenkaan äänet eivät ollet liian häiritsevät nukkumisen suhteen.

A Little Small, ButPosted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: Good location on north end of 5th Ave
Cons: Put electrical wall receptacle in bathroom and pillow top on mattress. More choices for breakfast each day.
Location: Just a few yards from 5th Ave
Good location. good service, room was a little small, and the bed was harder than we were use to. but everything seemed in good condition. Breakfast was adequate. Internet was spotty at times. Over all a good place to stay.

Great HotelPosted Jan 30, 2015 on Hotels
An excellent Hotel with an excellent location the only reason I cant give five stars everywhere is the seating is not very comfortable and no English tv, that being said I will go back for the service and location
