Great and wonderful place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Staff members took the time to know us and assisted our every need. Food was good, specially breakfast. Close to attraction sites. Would definitely go back.

Would not recommend

Posted Jun 21, 2015
I previously stayed at Reef Coco beach and tought this would be an upgrade, but except for a bigger beach it is not. I always look at Expedia customer survey for but this time I feel like it was not helpful. Food was terrible. Always same food, every single day, not much taste. We went to Italian restorant and it was little more tasteful, but not much better. Most staff does not speak English, those that do English is poor. They have a lot of guests from Argentina, maybe they cater more to Spanish speaking population. Kids club is closed on rainy days?! Also they could not stream a movie due to poor internet. Ac is poor in lobby. Rooms are small. We had a lots of vawes in water during our stay. Even the waiter at the bar at beach could not give straws for soft drinks?! Fast good place was not bad. There is a ice cream place which is excellent and they serve afternoon coffee and cookies in green area in middle which was good. 5 th avenue is close, but if you take cab it will be cheaper if you pay with pesos than dollars.

Nice, simple quiet resort.

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: Close walk to PDC, beautiful beach, price, and the 2 am snack bar
Cons: Customer service. Not the wait staff or bartenders, more like the front desk. I just don't think their answer should always be to call someone else
beautiful jungle feel and good food. Beyond that we were bored. It rained the first 5 days of our trip and there isn't enough to do around the resort. While some of the staff were great most of them lost any ability to communicate when asked for help.

Overall Experience

Posted Jun 20, 2015
We upgraded to the premium bracelet only to find out that the restaurants still charged additional money for some of the food and drinks. The beds are terrible (Hard!). The rooms are very outdated. And the "mini bar" had two beers per day.

Will not revisit this resort.

Pros: It is a small resort where most areas are easily accessible.
Cons: If guests are paying a lot of money for premium drinks, then those premium drinks should be readily available at all bars.
This was our 2nd time visiting. We expected our stay to be a little better than the first time being that we gave input for improvement and also read about many others doing the same thing. This stay, however, was less than we expected and less pleasant than the 1st time. -The bartenders were very nice. However, being that we paid quite a bit of money for premium drinks, that is exactly what we expected. The bars at the pool and lobby did not have what we wanted, most of the time. We had to leave the pool and go to a different bar to get our drinks. We were told to let them know at reception so they could have the liquor we wanted at the pool the following day. We did. They never restocked with the liquor we requested. -The staff at the buffet would usually take a long time to bring the drinks, whether it was water or soda. -Our group of 12 could not be accommodated at La Terraza restaurant. We were told they could only accommodate up to 8 at one table. But being that we were there very early, all the tables in our area were unoccupied and remained that way for a very long time. -We paid for 3 days of wifi. It only worked well on the last day of our stay (checked out at noon). We were only given credit for one day.

Hotel is very outdated and needs many repairs. All staff were very cordial, attentive, and nice.

A bit dated and ???

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: nice beach and jungle atmosphere
Cons: Room updates, better food.
Location: Playa del Carmen - Make good decisions. Lots of vendors with lines like "Hey remember me from your resort?" and such. Lots of lies to get you to buy.
Hard to complain about great water and beaches but this place let a bit to be desired. This is an all-inclusive with different levels of service depending on what package you buy. Didn't like being told I couldn't eat this or drink that. Despite the nice jungle atmosphere, the facility is old, under constant repair and not all rooms are created equal.
