Nice resort, would recommend to friendsPosted Jul 20, 2014
The resort was nice, food was great. Hotel staff is excellent. Only thing I did not like was beds, they were very uncomfortable. This resort does not have a great beach, lot of sea weed and rocks but the pool suffice for the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel for value for your money. Hotel staff is simply great, very clean hotel.

well maintained hotelPosted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: property, amenities, rooms
Cons: all-inclusive and tipping system
The property is great, clean, very well maintained. Staff is polite. Great spot for families with young kids, however if you're looking for active night life, this is definitely not the place. We got a good deal through expedia for all-inclusive stay. The all-inclusive system in this hotel is quirky - they make you sign receipts all the time (with zero balance) - this is because the hotel is actually a time-share and so there are other vacationers who have to pay for stuff which is otherwise included into the all-inclusive package. There was a little too much pressure to tip the staff on every interaction (and you do have to interact with the staff a lot there), however if you don't pay attention to not-so-subtle reminders about tipping and just leave as much as you see fit, you're good to go.

Great beach for swimming and beautiful poolsPosted Jul 19, 2014
We had a great stay! The grounds are large, and fun to explore. The pools were gorgeous. We loved all the restaurants, specially El Palapa Del Sol with the incredible breeze coming through. We had great dinners at Los Murales and the pool side Luna Grill had excellent fish tacos. We loved the access to kayaks, and it's a great place to paddle around, snorkel or swim. The rooms are really comfy, and the large porch with jacuzzi tub was amazing. The concierge was very helpful, and was not pressuring us for a timeshare presentation. We had a blast, and would for sure return!

Don't book the kitchenette room!Posted Jul 16, 2014
Great family hotel. Highly recommend the all-inclusive. Kids Club (staff supervised children's activities for ages 4-12) is amazing! Great staff, awesome activities! Our 8 year old ended up begging to go to kids club half the time, and had a chance to make souvenirs to take home! The front desk was a bit of a pain. Deal with concierge as much as possible. Don't let the front desk spoil your time! Also, DON'T book the kitchenette, book the rooms with the full kitchens. The kitchenette rooms (with two beds, don't know about the king beds) are very tight quarters!

Hotel rated as okPosted Jul 15, 2014
The rooms were really nice and spacious. However, we did not realize this was a time share until we got to the property. Many others we spoke to were surprised as well. Had to switch rooms on Saturday which took more than 2 1/2 hours. They asked for someone to be in the room so my husband was very frustrated. This was not a 30 minute seamless transfer as they indicated it would be. The pool bars closed at 7pm which was very disappointing. Not much to do at night on the property. There's a poolside grill for lunch, buffet, and only one nice restaurant. Would have liked more choices. Overall, we made the most of it and had fun but will try a different hotel next time.

Beautiful Grounds, Lackluster ServicePosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The pools and their bar/restaurants are fun and extremely nice. The suite was extremely comfortable
Cons: Miscommunication between staff members is a problem. Scheduled activities are routinely changed without notice at the last minute
Location: Zip Lines, Cenote swimming, Jungle ATV tours, 5th Ave in Playa Del Carmen, Mayan Ruin Tours, plus tons more

clean, good locationPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: location, cleaness,
Cons: food, and room change policy on Saturday.
Location: visit playa del carmen
this is our 4th time visit on this island. so I can compare this hotel to the 3 others. since this hotel is smaller (about 200 rooms) than others (600-700 rooms), the place is very kept clean well. pool and beach looked much better. it's very near to shopping area(playa del Carmen). beach was great. buffet restaurant was next to beach. very pleasant. But food wasn't better than the others. specially, every night they have theme for buffet restaurant (mexico night, yukatan night, Italian night...) on only Friday night ( prime steak night) they charged for steak if you want steak. a little disappointing.

Nice resort, great beach and friendly staffPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: I really liked the two bedroom villas. Very nice for a family of four for a week.
Cons: Tennis courts, beds and pillows could be better.
Location: Very close to Playa Del Carmen for extra things to do.
I would definitely stay here again. Very satisfied. Wished tennis courts had been nicer.
