Nice and comfortable hotel, close to the beach.Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Everything, the staff, cleanliness, services, and closeness to the beach. The food and the different themes at LaPalapa, Wonderful!
Cons: Wi-Fi services.
Location: Services to downtown Playa del Carmen, Excaret, and all the activities.
We booked through Expedia and our understanding from the reservation was that it was ocean front view. However, we had the hotel tour buses parking lot at the front door which kept beeping every night when the buses would return around 11:00pm. We faced the North side also which never got the sun on the deck, but a nice view of the facilities and the pools on the way to the ocean. We were without Wi-Fi services also which was intermittent at first, then non existing. Hope that gets repaired as we really enjoyed our stay and all the facilities as well as the entire staff. The food was sooo good! Never ate so well in my life! We hope to return in the near future and expect a different room location available.

Hotel staff was exceptional. Food was very good for an all inclusive. Only draw back was that it only had one restaurant and a buffet to pick from for dining in the evening. One of the top five all inclusives we have been at.

WonderfulPosted Jan 21, 2015
Been two times now. Staff is amazing. Wonderful facilities. If you just want to relax and have a great time this is your place. Lots of couples and families so if looking for a crazy party, not the place. But great location to downtown playa

Beautiful quiet resort!Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: This hotel was very clean! Loved the friendliness of all the staff! Great food at the grills!
Cons: For all inclusive people, maybe they would not have to wait for the after meal or tab receipt to sign.
Location: We took the hotel shuttle into Playa to do some shopping. The neighborhoods look rough outside of 5th Ave. Stressed at getting pulled into stores.
My sister and I stayed at Royal Haciendas for 5 days/4 nights in mid-January 2015. The resort is beautiful and maintained with utmost cleanliness. The pools and whirlpools are fantastic. Plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. Seemed that the resort staff would "clean" the build up of seaweed on the beach to a certain extent (constant battle I'm sure!). The sand was very soft and powdery. Since it is a timeshare, I'm assuming that all the units have full kitchen, dining area, living room, big vanity area, big bedroom, large balcony (we were on 2nd floor) with whirlpool tub on balcony. Our unit was very quiet...did not hear any noise from above or beneath us or from our outside door. The grill type food service provided at the pools or from the beach was very good.....excellent food and beverage! We ate from the buffet each night....a different theme each day, and that food was very good, also....plenty to choice from! I would say the same for the breakfast buffet- a lot to choice from and tasted great! We did the all inclusive package so our food and beverage were included...but you still have to sign a receipt though after each meal or at the end of your tab for beverages (can add on a tip at that time to the receipt). I suppose with it being a time share type of place that is used for tracking of some sort. Don't have to be time-sharers to visit this resort. If you want a quiet, relaxing atmosphere this resort is for you!

Great time.Posted Jan 19, 2015
Location: Playa del Carmen is a short taxi drive away, and lots of shopping - just don't believe everything the shopkeeper tells you.
Royal Haciendas - we will return. The suites are lovely, with a fully functioning kitchen. The service is great - the staff was very accommodating. Most of the food was terrific, but we did have a few bumps - Chilean Sea Bass. The beach is lovely and well maintained. As an all-inclusive resort you can't go wrong. And don't hesitate to take the kids. There are things for them to do as well, without them being underfoot. I would recommend the place without hesitation.
