ParadisePosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: All the food we had was excellent. Loved the ceviche/seafood/sushi menu at lunch. So fresh!
Cons: The bed was hard. Some people like a hard bed but I don't. It didn't ruin my stay, but if you're more sensitive than I am, be warned.
Location: We went to Tulum and Coba. Tulum was especially beautiful... nice to swim in the ocean near the ruins.
Zoetry was the perfect honeymoon getaway. If you're looking for a quiet, luxurious vacation, this is the place to go. The rooms were gorgeous, complete with hammock on the balcony overlooking the ocean. The food was excellent, and the service was above and beyond. We had a couple's massage at the spa, and it was wonderful. The concierge staff was very helpful with everything we needed. Room service, maid service, drivers, everyone was professional and curteous and great at their jobs. We wanted a week away after the hustle and stress of planning a wedding. We really felt relaxed and pampered the enitre time we were at the resort.

Not a 5 star resort.Posted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: Not a Thing.
Cons: New Management.
Location: What can I say its Mexico.
The rooms leave alot to be desired don't get a plunge pool the bathrooms are fine if you like the most uncomfortable tubs. The water smell of burnt matches. The walk to rooms smell like sewage. The sushi is made with imitation crab meat. A manager name Ada lied to us about fees for checking out early. Didn't know till we were back in the states. And couldn't get a refund as promised. Not impressed by anything the resort had to offer. Just can't understand how it could be call a 5 star someone needs to check into that rating.

Great place, questionable servicePosted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: Beautiful place, loved the quiet location, great accommodation. House maids were very pleasant.
Cons: Removing tipping. Provide larger cage to the macaws.
Location: Staff we very helpful in organising day trips to nearby sites.
Staff were pleasant, but you had the sense that there was a very strong tipping culture. At other all inclusive hotels (especially high end, expensive places), I've seen notices that say the tip is included. Here, I felt an expectation to tip everyone - from the guy that delivered drinks to the beach, for dinner, for luggage. I also noticed the waiting staff (restaurant/cafe) weren't always as helpful as they could be. For example, sometimes I'd get fresh juice, other times they couldn't make it... But if I tipped...! Yes, so I thought that was a bit frustrating and uncomfortable. Some of the staff almost seemed resentful to be asked to do their job, and I felt like I was bothering them by making a request or ordering a drink. I ended up staying another night in Cancun at the Ritz Carlton, due to a flight mix up, and the staff there were so friendly and helpful. They constantly asked if there was anything else you needed. It was a significant difference. Another thing I noticed was 2 of the macaw parrots in single cages, needed larger cages. One birds tail touched the bottom of its cage, and it's shoulders were hunched so its head rub wouldn't against the top of the cage. I saw those 2 parrots in the same cage for 4 days in a row. I did speak to management and suggest that they may need something bigger. I hope they take care of it soon. They had other birds in larger cages and a huge space outside, that apparently they get turned out into sometimes.

Luxurious and restfulPosted Jun 8, 2013
Pros: The relaxed atmosphere and the smiles from the staff. The excellent service and attention to every detail.
Cons: The walk and tiles get very slippery in the rain it could use a texture to grip the shoes better.
Location: The closeness to the airport and the comfort of being picked up in the Navigator.
Hotel staff go way above and beyond with a smile and an hola or bix-a-bel in making your stay enjoyable. This is our second stay here and this time we found the food menu both healthy and delicious (no buffets). The rooms are huge with the most comfy beds that have the firmest mattresses. Blvgari bath products are especially nice.

Almost PerfectPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Paraiso in May and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Activities at the resort are minimal but that is what we wanted. The entire resort was very clean and the service was excellent, although the daily maid service always seemed to miss one or two things that ended up being nuisances: All decaf coffee one morning, no creamer the next. Service was very friendly and professional. The food was hit and "near-miss" (which I say because I don't want to give the impression it wasn't good. Some things were excellent - very unique flavors and well-cooked. Other items (particularly seafood) was oftentimes just slightly overcooked. Watch out of the dive-bombing birds and crafty iguanas when dining outside. The birds will literally fly past the table and steal food off your plate or out of your hands. I would recommend a room closer to the pool for ease of access since it is a 5 - 7 minute walk to the end of the property, meaning it's not easy to retrieve something you may have forgotten in your room. However, the walk is beautiful - be sure to go to all the way to the end to see the peacocks. The third floor has great views but there are 42 steps to climb to get there. Beach service is great - those guys work their tails off - but keep in mind that service will not be as frequent if you choose to sit far away from the main area.

Fit for a king.Posted May 6, 2013
Pros: Fine Dining was 5 Star service. Treated very well by all staff from start to finish.
Cons: Small resort so there were limited activities - night life.
Location: Nice and close to the Cancun Airport. Nice white sand beach.
The staff treated us with respect and were always courteous and helpful. From the Champagne in the taxi arriving at the resort to the service on the beach, by the pool and especially in the dining rooms. Room service was accurate. Food preparation was great and pleasing to the eye and palate. Rooms were kept clean. All staff were friendly and almost always spoke. The staff were very much there to serve. Very quiet enjoyable vacation.
