“Excellent for location, convenience, and comfort”

We love the location of this Best Western in Roanoke. It is very close to the Texas Motor Speedway and located on a cross street between Byron Nelson and 377, so it's not on a major thoroughfare, but very close to everything. The owner has recently made some improvements, including a fitness center and a nice sitting area in the back by the pool with a table and chairs. We were in a king room on the first floor, designated for the handicapped. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is adequate, with pastries, fruit, a waffle iron, breads, and a selection of hot items each morning, including eggs, meat, biscuits and gravy. The front desk staff was always very friendly and accommodating to our needs.

The fron t desk staff was very polite and helpful. The owners seem like they want nothing but the best for guests and staff. The breakfast was very good. Enough of everything. It was great to have the bus to take us to the race and back. Thank you very much.

“Don't understand low rating...”

I thought the place was really great - right across the street from a bunch of awesome restaurants, and the staff was really helpful. I even made a couple of friends there. :) The only complaint I would have is that housekeeping kept turning my ac all the way up to frigid.

“disappointing for a best western”

i was surprised that there was not a microwave or small refrigerator in the room. to make matters worse the only ice machine was on the first floor. summer in texas and going to a race at the texas motor speedway requires lots of ice for coolers. the breakfast buffet was always cold and picked over. the room was much to small for two queen beds. i was told that the hotel was under new ownership and management and that they hope to implement changes soon.
