“Great location, old beds”

The bed was uncomfortable. The linens were nice and fresh and the room was clean but you could just tell that hadn't really updated EVERYTHING the last time they "remodeled", i.e. the matresses and the TVs. The TV wasn't bad but it was just old. Typical free hot breakfast: egg rounds, waffles, and the usual continental breakfast items. Luckily there is a Dunkin Donuts right down the road. :) The staff was very nice and helpful to me and to others.

“Comfortable hotel”

I went to take a test in the nearby on-line test center. The center is only 2KM from the hotel and it was very convenient.

“Great hotel in Roanoke”

The hotel is located next to the Ridgewood Farms shopping center which made it convenient without a rental car.

“Not great for the money”

Overall we were not impressed for the money. There were other hotels that we had stayed at in the past that were a much better value. No huge faults. Just not a standout by any means. Save your time on the breakfast bar and go to the Pancake House around the corner.

“Looks can be deceiving”

The lobby looked beautiful so we were very impressed upon arrival. Our room smelt like a musty basement, it was dark when we arrived so we didn't notice until the morning sunlight that there was mold everywhere. It was all over the walls and the dressers. We can't for the life of us figure out how we didn't see it when we arrived. When I commented about it to management they didn't care. I wouldn't let my family ever stay here again!!

“Salem's Most Accomadating”

Oh my god I have never ever in my life met the most accomadating staff. They were all genuinely nice. The only think that was wrong was that my room was bumped from 1 king size bed to 2 full size beds. I understood cause the staff told me right away that there were 2 weddings. But it wasnt that big of a deal. I just wasnt told until I went into the room and found out for myself. It was so easy to check-in and check-out. You wouldn't believe it. Nothing I have ever experienced before. I will stay here again if I decided to visit VA!
