Good hotel stop

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: It was clean and well lit, comfortable, nice staff, breakfast was good.,
Cons: Decent exercise equipment would have made this a great stay - the treadmill didn't work and the elliptical didn't feel solid.
Location: The location was easy on and off the highway.
My daughter and I stayed for a night as we made our way south. We enjoyed this hotel - it was clean and comfortable. I would have given a higher score for the facilities condition, but the equipment in the exercise room was below par. Everything else was fine; we'd stay again.

Clean and well maintained rooms

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and in good confition.
Cons: The pool area needs to be improved and repaired.
Location: I was passing through and did not explore the local area.
The room was well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable and the staff friendly. The only part of the hotel that needed a bit of care was the pool area. It looked as though parts of the rough were under repair and there was an issue with standing water in part of the area surrounding the pool.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, esp. the bed, and extended breakfast hours compared to other hotels.
Location: Various Civil War locations, near Roanoke, & major universities & not far from Washington, DC or attractions like Monticello, etc within hour's drive.
Stayed at several hotels on recent vacation, this was the most comfortable and breakfast hours the most accommodating. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Will likely return during future vacations in the area.

Pros: We came for the pool, so kids could swim after a long car trip.
The pool was good for the kids to swim. The timer on the hot tub wasn't working, but we didn't mind. The breakfast was good and had a lot of choices. My 4 yr old loved the yellow duck in the bathtub! For our family of 5, the room had comfortable sleeping arrangements for the one night. If we were there for a week, the room may have been cramped. Great for business travel.

Not too bad...

Great staff and the room was clean. However, the hot tub did not work and the pool area was really ran down. We only stayed one night, but I stayed here because of the pool, So I was a little disappointed. However the staff was wonderful!

Excellent hotel. Unfortunately, the AC did not work in the lobby and elevator either day we were there. Fortunately, the AC did work in the hallways and rooms. I'm sure it will be fixed soon.

Nice stay

We had a nice stay but the pool area was way to hot to be enjoyed. The place was like a sauna and very uncomfortable for us to watch the kids and so there swimming was cut short.
