“Nice Enough if You Really Need a Place”

Overall, this hotel was better than I expected. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable enough, and there was a TV, refrigerator, and microwave. However, the towels and sheets were worn/dirty, and the hotel overall needs to be updated. I recommend this if you need a cheap place to stay, but don't expect too much.

“Convenient quickie”

Not bad for price range, right off highway, easy to jump off, stay and move on.

“Terrible motel”

This motel was DIRTY, not fit for humans. The towels and sheet were yellow instead of white. The breakfast was gross. Not fit for human consumption. Would never stay in another Howard Johnson's motel.

“Would not go back”

The hotel was ok. Initially when we drove up our first thoughts were the place looked run down. It needs a lot of repairs. The room looked fine. When you walk in it looks clean but there were small stains on the sheets. The towels were all yellow and we almost went and bought some from the store. However, the staff was friendly.

“Decent overnight stop”

If you are looking for a cheap, reasonably clean, overnight stop; this hotel works. The guy at the front desk was very polite, and the room was exactly as i expected. just crumby enough to be a cheap motel, but still nice enough to be comfortable.

“Relaxing Night to a long day”

An Army wife traveling from AL to NY to see family. With a 3 year old and 4month old, stopping here and staying was a breeze. I booked my hotel on line, and they new me as soon as I walked in. Literally, I was the last pre-booked to come in and the receptionist new it. Took the time to say welcome, glad to see you made it. I was blown away, at how nice everyone was, and they even made sure I had a room that was bottom level, and close to parking. All because they payed enough attention to my pre-booking. I only stayed one night and was back on the road the next morning, but in that time, I was able to lock myself out of my room with the baby inside, the clerk himself, ran the key up to me with in a couple minutes. Yep, He Ran! They couldn't have been more accomadating, and understanding, of a Mom, with two kids on a road trip. I would thank them over and over for making my stay wonderful, and making me feel like a true guest. Thanks Howard Johnson! The next big family trip, you will be on our stopping route again!

“If it wasn't for the cockroaches...”

Non smoking room that smelled like old smoke. Didn't look to bad and the beds were comfortable but between the funky smell and the cockroaches in the bathroom, i won't be back to this place.

“Virginia vacation”

We booked this hotel since it was close to our family that we were visiting and it had a pool for the kids. The pool was broke and the kids couldn't swim but the room was clean. The bathroom light flashed off and on.

“Worth it”

Pros: Good location from highway, Internet was fine. Nearby Kroger location for Gas/daily needs was excellent. Overall decent place to stay, worth the money spent. Cons: Felt room cleanliness could be better. BF was Ok, considering FOC.
