“No complaints.”

Stayed just one night, room was clean and nice, no complaints. Hotel staff could have been friendlier, but I didn't have to deal with them much.

“Not so good!”

Our non-smoking room reeked of smoke! Asked to be moved, and we were (reluctantly), but not without some serious conversation. The room was adequate, but well worn and tired. In general the whole place needed a good scrubbing. For example, doors were grimey.

“Just OK”

This hotel was conviently close to the airport. We were visiting family in Roanoke, so we spent most of our time with them, and only used the hotel for sleeping. The beds were not that comfortable and the hotel itself was rather drab. I was pleased to find out that breakfast was included, but the food wasn't that great. The usual donuts, bagels, and waffles were provided as well as a meat (sausage two days and bacon on one) and very runny eggs. The hotel has a nice size pool, which didn't seem to be the norm for nearby hotels. The staff was polite and helpful. The only time we called the office with a complaint about the blowdryer not working, someone was immediately sent over to help. Overall, it's just an OK hotel...one that I would probably stay at again based on the price.

“Pit stop quality”

OK for a budget overnight, but not up to current standards as set by others with same star rating -- HIExpress, Wingate, Fairfield etc....this is an older hotel with exterior room entrances. Staff was nice.

“Comfortable”

We were in town for our daughter's volleyball tournament and it was nice to come back to the room and relax in between rounds. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We especially loved the full breakfast buffett, very nice!!

“Wouldn't Recommend. Book with realistic expectations.”

I read several reviews before booking and they were extremely variant. Not considering myself a high-maintenance person, I erred on the aspect that some folks are probably more particular that I am. I was wrong. After staying, let me say the star rating here is not a reality, as are the amenities especially when compared to other travel experiences I have had based on star rating. Hotel did not have the Restaurant hours it claimed, was not busy, so free breakfast sitting out after hours was completely unappealing even at 7 a.m. The room smelled musty, gold quilting was spotted and gross, pillows were half-size, bed was lumpy and tilted back toward the wall. Bathroom leaked water from over-sized fabric shower curtain in a relatively small shape. Any time one of us showered the bathroom floor was soaked and slippery. Hotel claimed recent renovation and when I asked about this the front desk responded with "in comparison to other hotels in the area", this was not true. The lobby area may have been more recently renovated but the rooms looked 20-30 years old. Book with extreme caution and a standard that only requires you need shelter for a night.
