Much better than 2 stars!!!
Posted Jan 21, 2013
Pros: The cleanlinest.
Cons: Check-out time.
Location: Close to highway....went to the Waffle House across the street and two cops hung out, which made me think that area is problematic otherwise.
This hotel was much better than I thought. I was surprised that it was only rated 2 stars. I found this particular hotel to be very nice and clean for a Comfort Suite. I was more surprised that it cost more than a $100 being in a small town (in the middle of nowhere). However, when I checked in, I was pleased. The only thing that I was a little disappointed at is that my husband and I drove there for a wedding and didn't get there until after midnight. I would have liked to have checked out a couple of hours later. Check-out is 11am, which is little early for me. The manager could only accommodate us with one hour.

Housekeeping department was excellent they made the visit comfortable and the rooms where very nice and clean...But!!!!! Desk clerk "Monique" needs a little more training in the customer service area she must be over worked or ate too many lemons, she never smiles or greets. she use only one word sentences Example we asked her where is the soda machine and her reply "1st " so asked again and the same reply while she is looking down never gave eye contact, ... a guest made a nice comment on her finger design nails she never said “thank you” just continue with what she was saying and doing...in hospitality after the second day the lady will she stop speaking & greeting you and the breakfast bar waffle mix sits out all night and they don't prep for the it for the next day... the room doors had index cards in place of the room numbers so I think the hotel was getting a facelift there wasn’t a note letting it be known and the list goes on….

Everything was really nice. As I am a local it was disappointing to learn that this would be my last stay (no local policy). Breakfast was pretty good. Rooms were clean.

I was helping my sister move from NY to FL and that happened to be the stopping point for the night. The hotel and room were very clean. Beds were very comfortable and shower felt great. Breakfast the following morning was very good and was a great start to the 2nd leg of the drive. I'd definitely recommend this as a stop for anyone making a trip thru the area.

Our "go to" hotel in Roanoke Rapids

For the price, an excellent hotel option in this rather remote location. Very close to Cracker Barrel -- a favorite spot for a cheap yet delicious traditional breakfast. The property is ungoing a slight renovation as evidenced by the taped paper notes attached to each room door denoting the hotel room number. Also of note, this property is serviced by a single (and fairly small) elevator. Guests might encounter a short delay during busy times.

Convenient to I95

The room was comfortable but the rugs were filthy and there were popcorn kernals behind the nightstands in our room. They did provide free WIFI and hot breakfast but they shut down breakfast at 9:30am sharp! I was still eating and I wanted to have a yogurt and the fridge was already locked so I asked the staff to kindly unlock it and they said well we are closed and if you want something you're gonna have to wait till I'm finished cleaning up this mess! Bad customer service on her part.

We enjoyed our stay at Confort Suites! The only thing we see that could have been improved is the breakfast! We still ended up taking our children somewhere else to eat...The room the first night was in shape when we got there; however, we stayed 9/9/2012 as well and when we got checked in at 10:30 pm or there about, our room wasn't cleaned that they put us in..The front desk was great though, she immediately changed our room to one that had been cleaned...
