Cons: service and cleanliness
Understaffed, needs better management. Towels old, no mattress pad and didn't have any when requested. The sheets in the bed to small for mattress and bed came undone. Only had breakfast buffet, when they advertise they serve three meals at the beachside restaurant. It's a shame because the beach is beautiful.

Would Look at other hotels first
Posted Jan 19, 2013
The staff at the front desk were rude. Very unprofessional considering the place is suppose to be "high end". We were given a small en suite room - we could hear the occupant in the connecting room blow his nose while showering - with 2 twin beds suited for kids not for adults. The room was clean but there were mosquitos in the room and bathroom. The safe was not working and the remote control was broken. The faucet in the kitchenette just sprayed water everywhere when turned on. We were just there for 1 night and we didn't want to spend it complaining about these oversights at the front desk. Again for a hotel that claims to be on the "luxury" category, there shouldn't be any oversights like this. It's not a cheap hotel and given we were willing to pay the price, I expected better service, ambiance and rooms. Fortunately we only stayed there for 1 night and the good feeling we had upon leaving the other place we were at, the friendliness of the local people outside of Infinity and the natural beauty of the island made up for the "ripped off" feeling we had upon checking out of this hotel. The smaller, less unassuming and pretentious establishements in this part of the island would be my first choice if ever I decide to go back to West Bay.

Very nice rooms, they had upgraded us from a studio to a 1 bedroom, it was spacious and had everything we needed. Some of the walls looked like they could use a paint job but that seemed minor. We didn't go to the restaurant there which is above the lobby but we did eat at other places along the beach which were good. The pool area is very nice but I noticed that rude guests "saved" the lounge chairs by 9:00 am so while there were only a handful of people every lounge chair was taken....I thought people only did that on cruise ships. Anyway, the hotel is right in front of a very nice part of the reef with nice sand and there are all sorts of activities you can sign up for if you have the desire to do more than snorkel or dive- para-sailing, paddle-boarding etc.... There are armed guards patrolling that section of the beach as well. There were some jellies in the water, just watch out for them. Word of caution if you don't like crowds do not go here mid week, it's wall to wall people both on the beach and in the water although that has nothing to do with the hotel and more of it's location.

Paradise, but a weird room
Posted Jan 12, 2012
Pros: Pool, bar, food, beach.
Cons: The room.
Location: It's paradise. You are not going to want to leave.
Great location. The beach is beautiful and the pool is great. But the room they gave us was kind of awkward. There was a fridge, microwave and sink, but no chairs or table. So, if you wanted to sit down and relax or eat you had to sit on the bed. we suspect that the room is actually supposed to be the dining room of the adjoining condo- it was odd. despite being in paradise, our view was an ugly alley. so- ask what room you're getting before committing.

hotel shuttle service was horrible. had to take a cab because driver put other passengers who were not from the hotel on the bus. guess he tried to make a quick buck.
