We spent 5 days at Las Rocas, and it was great. The staff were all so friendly and the hotel grounds are so lush/tropical. It’s a small hotel, not a lot of frills or high end amenities. Perfect if you are diving, or not spending a lot of time in your room. We got the Oceanfront room, very spacious and has the necessities. The view is more of a partial view, not visible from inside the room. Rooms are a little outdated, but not bad for the price. The beds are firm, and water pressure can be a little weak at times (usually after divers came back). WiFi was good over the entire property.
We LOVED the restaurant/bar, spent many hours here. Especially fond of their 2 for 1 happy hour! Haha. We tried most of the food menu and everything was delicious. Definitely try a Monkey Nala and the Rum Punch if you want to try a drink.
We aren’t divers (just snorkelers), but every guest we spoke to enjoyed their dives and the dive staff. You will want to get in the water and see the marine life in Roatán!
As far as covid protocols, the staff always wore masks and helped coordinate our covid tests for departure. The lab techs come to the resort for $50 per person, so not too bad at all.
