This is not a resort! think twice before going.Posted Jan 21, 2013
This is not a resort. I a rental property management company. The location is horrible, far away from town and with dirt roads, and when it rains is almost impossible to go anywhere. The taxi to town is about $ USD 60 per couple! an after a day of rain, it took us 4 hours a $ 80 USD to find someone to be willing to pick us up!. The menu is very basic, and every day is the same, their alcohol list is very limited and overall poor service. The place is very unkept and there are areas falling apart. I regretted my stay there, to the point that relocated on our last night.

Hello Anonymous, Thank you for your comment, we are a resort, on the north side of the island. We have shuttles at all times of the day, and our price depends on the hour or day, $40 round trip or if you want to stay out late at night then the price changes, it does not matter if it rains or not guest can go in and out of the resort, not sure why you are lying about this.

They treat you like family!Posted Jul 24, 2012
Pros: Staff! 5-star staff especially Erick and Cecila. They made us dinner on the beach and a cake to celebrate my birthday..as well as a bon-fire
Cons: pool small and a bit aged and beach with lots of seaweed
Location: Remote / Jungle / Beach / Reef GREAT reef!
Wow! What a great vacation. The resorts is a collection of homes in the jungle and on the beach. It's not a five star resort, but the staff is what makes the place great. Erick and Cecila go out of their way to serve you. They baked me a birthday cake and a romantic dinner on the beach for our 25th anniversary. Neither was expected nor charged to me. We were on the all inclusive so make sure you tip the staff! Subway divers has a shop at the resort and the divers there are exceptional. We took a discovery scuba course and could not have been more pleased with Darren our instructor and the rest of the guys/girls. Bottom line, Palmetto Bay is a wonderful jungle / beach resort off the beaten path, the main facilities are a little aged but the staff, food, and diving more than make up for it. The only negitive is the beach is better at west end, but this place was one of my top vacations ever and we have traveled to many places around the world. Can't go wrong if you are easy going and what an easy going vacation.

Great place to celebrate an anniversary!Posted Jul 4, 2012
Pros: Great food in restaurant. Amazing rental home. Comfortable and cozy. Refreshing pool. Majestic ocean views. Helpful, friendly staff.
Cons: Sand flies. Extra for air conditioning home. No Internet in home.
Location: Off the beaten path, but worth it if you love nature and ocean.
Lovely setting. Helpful staff. Beach not great for swimming, but great for views. Should provide Internet in homes. Felt safe and comfortable at all times.
