“Pet friendly in a not very pet friendly area”

The pet fee was a dollar more than posted on Expedia, but still reasonable, so I won't complain. This was the cheapest hotel in the casino area that night (booked one day before), and only one of a couple who accept pets at all. I was just passing through for the night with my dog and thought the casinos would be a fun stop. Of course, if you have no pet, and can afford it, stay in a casino hotel for the excitement and easy access, as these smaller hotels on the outer edge of the highway can feel kind of lonely. The hotel seemed clean inside and out, with nice landscaping. Free breakfast offerings a little better than average, with sausage biscuit sandwiches, bagles, toast, etc... Room also had a micro/fridge. Room lighting was the only complaint. Even though there were many lamps, the room was so huge, with interior and exterior entrances, so the lighting did not cover this large area. Bathroom nice, large and new-ish. I've stayed with this chain in several states and have had no complaints about the quality of any of them , so far.

Area recommendations

I would recommend staying on site at the casino hotels, if cost or pets are not an issue. The highway hotels and services seem a little far removed from the action.

Dining

Expensive dining at the casinos. Standard cheaper chain restaurants are out on the highway.

Nightlife

Surprisingly large number of casinos with on-site entertainment in a pretty remote area.

Other

Not a pet friendly area. Research and book ahead if you're bringing Fido.

“I was impressed because ot the rate and location.”

The hotel clerk was very friendly and the pirce was reasonable. It was my first stay at this location but I would certainly go back.

“Not great.”

We stayed in September 2011 and the pool was filthy. Bugs and junk filled the water and I didn't see any attempt to clean it out during our stay. The rooms seemed old and didn't look that clean. Close to casinos.

“A fine budget hotel for the price”

The America's Best Value Inn in Tunica was clean and comfortable, except for the pool and fitness area. The rooms were nice, and the bathroom seemed to be recently renovated. Everything was in good working order. But the pool was murky, and I when I looked down, I couldn't see my feet at the bottom of the pool in the shallow end -- they need to clean it more often! The fitness room was pleasantly situated right next to the pool so you could watch the swimmers during your workout, but there were some definite minuses. The room was not airconditioned, there wasn't a TV to help pass the time, and there were no towels. Overall, however, my hotel experience was a good one, and I would stay there again.

“Good location”

The hotel was located perfectly for the casinos, clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast was excellent! The pool could have been cleaner, the water was very cloudy...maybe more clorine.

“Great place for the price!”

Great place for the price. This hotel was actaully better than I thought it was going to be for the price that I paid. They had a great deal on Sundays that will really catch you off guard. Overall nice place for the value. Stay here for less and take the money that you would pay for a night at one of the casinos and gamble with it!

“Will definately stay again”

My husband and I were very pleased on how close the hotel was to the casino that we were going to. Ususally stay further down the road, but this was more convenient. Very clean, smelled really good once you walk in reception area.(thats always a good sign) Bathroom was exceptionally clean, very impressive.
