“Excellent Value!”

Hotel was modern, clean, convenient from highways. Had I known I would have booked another night. Will definately stay again on next trip to Rochester. Extremely satisfied!!!

Events and shows

Went to concert at Kodak Theatre in Rochester. Hotel is about 12 minutes from down town Rochester.

“Nice,Ccomfortable Hotel”

This was my first time in the Rochester/Pittsford area. The area reminded me of New England. The hotel was very nice. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Nice continental breakfast. Staff at hotel was courteous and responded to my requests in a timely manner. Shuttle service from airport to hotel and from Brookwood to Woofcliff excellent. Shuttle drivers knowledgeable and courteous. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

“Very rekaxing stay in a grand room”

I stayed at Brookwood while visiting my son at RIT. In prior visits, I had stayed at the chain hotels, near RIT and the Rochester airport. They were cheap and bearable. Some were clean but cookie-cutter. My wife recommended the Brookwood. It is a 20 minute drive from RIT and Rochester, though given the nice surroundings, this may be a blessing. I did not benefit from the walking and trekking paths, the lovely canal, etc. I was not there for a vacation. Having said that, the Brookwood surpassed my expectations. The staff were friendly, and I was greeted genuinely ia warm manner at the reception. My room with two queen beds was clean and the size of my NYC apartment. The bathroom was large and clean, but could use a facelift. The flatscreen Tv had all cable channels. Wireless internet was free and high speed. The independently run steakhouse had good food and good drinks. Pity, it closed early. The restaurant staff were, again, very pleasant. I don't think I will stay at any other Rochester hotel for the next four years.

“Very nice people run this hotel”

My husband and I just stayed one night in order to visit family nearby. We got an outstanding deal through Expedia. (Bing rated it a "deal".). After we had booked the room,the price went up significantly. Other family wanted to join our group and we needed another room. The Brookwood Inn staff were kind enough to give us the same "deal " rate for others in our party. When our son and daughter-in-law needed to stay in their room past check out to feed their new baby, the front desk clerk said "no problem". When we wanted to stay in the breakfast room past the "clean up" time, the hostess said " no problem". The place is attractive, the breakfast was great, the rooms were large and clean. We will stay there everytime we go to that area.

“3rd visit wasn't the charm...”

3rd time at Brookwood and by far the worst. Stayed on the Terrace level (basement) and it was very damp. The mattress in the bed was also quite broken down.

“Overpriced?”

Chose this hotel outside Rochester because the place looks amazing on the website. Room with 2 queen beds was very comfortable. Found a leaky bathroom the second day and our room was changed right away. Disappointing continental breakfast. Not many food choices. Pool was smaller than expected and whirlpool was quite tiny. Spa services located at sister hotel down the road, not on premises. Desk staff not as familiar with Rochester as we would have hoped! All in all, a bit pricey for the services offered.

“Rooms need a facelift”

The carpeting had stains throughout, the sheets were very scratchy and thin, and the bathroom did not look real clean. The hotel lobby is very nice, but the rooms need to be updated. The TV's are new. The workout facility is very nice. The restaurant is excellent and so is the service. I would go back to the restaurant but I would not stay in this hotel again unless they remodel the rooms and get better linens.

Area recommendations

Pittsfield is a very pretty, historic town. Henrietta is close by and a very nice place to stay as well.

“Great value and superb location, only option for Rochester!”

We were visiting friends in Rochester. Tried hard to find a decent location down town but most places were either way too expensive or located in dodgy areas. Going for the Brookwood was the best decission ever. The kids were excited when we arrived. "wauw daddy, this is a real hotel! The folks at reception were very kind and they were happy to see us return safely after our first trip to Rochester. By accident we ended up in (one of the many) wrong area of the city (A-D street, Main street etc). . If I ever go back to Rochester I will only stay at this place!

Area recommendations

The area of Brookwood inn was great. Super mall at Eastview and nice restaurants in Victor and Pittsford.
