This hotel is older and is in process of being re-modeled. The staff were as helpful as possible.

Great hotel choice when visiting Mayo!Posted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: The friendly staff, the convenient shuttle and the pool/hot tub!
Cons: It is a little bit on the older side-could maybe us some renovations soon-but still a great place to stay and very clean.
Location: About a 7 or 8 min shuttle ride to Mayo clinic...it is on a main road-so there are lots of places to eat close by.
Rarely do I feel the need to give a review- but my daughter and I really enjoyed our time at this hotel and I felt the need to share. We were there for her to go to the Mayo Clinic-and the daily shuttles that leave every hour (twice an hour during early morning) were not only prompt and convenient, but all the drivers were SO kind and friendly. When she was nervous going, or feeling horrible coming back-a kind and friendly person really made SO much difference, it's amazing. The shuttle also took us to/from the airport, AND to the mall! (will go wherever you need, just ask ahead of time). Also, the lovely people in the bar were so kind and helpful when my daughter was looking for a "frozen type drink". We were getting this everyday...and when the gentleman who was in that day didn't know how to make it, he kept doing it until he got it right! We LOVED the pool and hot tub (and gaming area!) We spent many hours there EVERY day of our stay-it was always clean (had to wait the one day for the hot tub to be cleaned/refilled) and so relaxing for her after a hard day! There is a resturant on site (great food!)-and many close by to walk to. There is also a bar area outside that is open on nice nights, complete with fire pits! It is an older hotel, but everything else really made up for it-I would recommend it!

Pool was fun!Posted May 14, 2013
Pros: Pool, food was good, staff was friendly.
Cons: bigger pool, things added.
Location: I'm from Rochester, just got the hotel for a family member. Made it easy for "time to hang out" and "just sit back and enjoy". Many restraunts...
We were booked at another hotel and changed, because their pool wasn't working. Best money spent even if I had to pay for 2 hotels. Thank You. We will be back!

Wonderful hospitality staff, but lazy housekeepersPosted May 11, 2013
Pros: Friendliness of staff.
Cons: Housekeeping, and restaurant food!
Location: Mayo clinic, nice restaurants in downtown Rochester.
Extremely nice and accommodating staff! However house keeping never changed our sheets nor vacuumed the room. I know this for a fact because we had a few cracker crumbs on our carpet for the five days we were there. Also, the first day we were there I got a makeup stain on the sheets and they were never changed. Overall it was a good hotel, good price, very nice and accommodating staff. They just need to get new housekeepers. And actually there was a sign in the lobby announcing that they're hiring housekeepers. Also, the food in the restaurant they have isn't all that great! It's just ok. Not bad if you don't want to go anywhere to eat.

A homey stay for a low pricePosted May 4, 2013
Pros: The price, the kind, helpful staff, the nice big pool and hot tub, the food, and the little extras like free breakfast, shuttle, and WiFi.
Cons: Just some updating, along with expanded workout facilities.
Location: We just went to Mayo. We also hit a Mexican restaurant called Fiesta Cafe, which was excellent.
We stayed at the Comfort Inn for two nights during a visit to Mayo Clinic. The rooms were definitely not five star, but were spacious and clean, although in need of some updates (stained carpet and bath). Beds were comfy and clean, and the room had movie channels and free WiFi. We had a free shuttle to Mayo and back, which was quicker and easier than driving. The pool and hot tub were big and quite nice. The workout facilities were lackluster, though-- a standard room tucked in a corner with one functioning treadmill, one stepper and a bike, but no weights. If you want easier pool access, be sure to ask for the 100 and 200 rooms, because the 300 and 400 rooms are accessible via an added-on overhead walkway to an addition in a separate building. The complementary breakfast was excellent, and the food in the restaurant/lounge was really good and reasonable. My husband and I thought the pot roast and reuben tasted homemade. All in all, not a luxury hotel but pretty great for the price.

Nice placePosted Apr 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff was wonderful, although the hotel is a little on the old side, their front desk staff were excellent. They hire wonderful employees, which makes the older hotel not a big deal at all. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Would stay there again, no problem. Nice breakfast.
