Never again!

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Overpriced and terrible room. The bathroom is the same size as the closet...your knees hit the wall when you sit on the toilet and the shower is so small. This hotel is not worth the price or the misery of staying there. We had to leave a day early and the hotel kept the other night payment with no explanation to me. For the money they charge the need to update the rooms and bathrooms.

The rooms were very small. I didn't think anyplace still had double beds. Would not recommend because of the size of the room and bed!

Stayed there for an interview at Mayo. Staff is pleasant but overall building is rather old, especially in the bathrooms.

Seen better days

Posted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: Great restaurant nearby, Chesters.
The Kahler has definitely seen better days. The room wasn't clean, hairs on the comforter, rust around the sink, low water pressure, dirty carpet. I had always heard great things about the Kahler, that must have been some time ago.

Convenient to Mayo Clinic

Cons: More dining options.
Location: Downtown Rochester
This hotel is great for anyone who is seeing a doctor at Mayo Clinic. You never have to step a foot outdoors.

Parking was horrible. Paying to park is dumb. You pay that much for a room it should come with free parking.

Close to Mayo

Posted Dec 9, 2014
Cons: I just wish they offered a better rate for Mayo patients that need a room with 2 beds.
The front desk clerk was super. The doctors appointments at Mayo are stressful and she was so helpful. 1. Later checkout so we can come back between appointments for a break. 2.Leaving my car in the parking garage so that I don't have to pay extra in parking fees. 3. Victoria's restaurant attached to the building so we can stay out of the Minnesota cold. 4. BEST of all... they are attached to the Mayo subway system so that we can go to all the different buildings for appointments without ever having to go out in the weather.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. The pool was cold, but was 9 degrees out.
