Pros: It's nice looking!
Not very pleased with the way they dealt with a situation that came up! Not accommodating! Also charged $18 for a cardboard pizza! Don't eat there!

Very comfortable and pleasant in all respects - only criticism was that some of the pillows were a bit dirty but otherwise we had no complaints. Would definitely stay there again!

Within walking distance.Posted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Close proximity to the Mayo Clinic, pool facilities with great hours of access (06:00 to 22:00), quiet, and comfortable.
Cons: In the lobby, complimentary coffee and fruit were provided. As a tea drinker, hot water and a selection of teas would be appreciated.
Location: Location was perfect for attending the Mayo Clinic. Also close to Episcopal Church, People's Food Market, shops and a humane society hallowe'en event
The hotel was within walking distance not only to the Mayo Clinic where I was attending a workshop but was close to a terrific and newly-opened People's Food Coop as well as to an Episcopal Church. Great swimming each morning in the indoor pool equipped with blue lights! Great place to stay.

Blocks from all medical facilitiesPosted Nov 3, 2013
The only thing negative is that the beds were very soft and all three of up thought they were too soft. The staff was as good as it gets. Valet parking is a must.

Perfect location!Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The service and hotel staff...especially, Betra!
Cons: The restaurant was very over-priced for what you get. We never ate there. Room 527...bathroom was too small.
Location: We went on one cable car tour of the town and countryside for $10.00. It was interesting.
We were going to Mayo Clinic and the hotel was convenient to the clinic as well as to University Square ...the center of Rochester. Near many good restaurants. The hotel staff was very helpful...in fact Betra (behind the desk) helped us secure a shuttle to Minneapolis as well as a hotel there. Excellent follow-through ....beyond our expectations of service. We liked the location of our room...view of the city. Rooms were comfortable...only disappointment was the very small bathroom. The elevators worked well...and you could walk everywhere in town without going outside because of the skyways between buildings.

UnderwhelmedPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
There were two key disappointments I had. First, parking is a bit of a mess. The hotel does not have its own parking, but instead is somehow affiliated with the hotel next door. So, we are supposed to use that hotel's ramp... which was full. Oh well. Second, the room smelled a bit like old sweat and stale cigarettes. Kind of a bummer considering how much we paid.

Ideal location for a Mayo Clinic visitPosted Aug 1, 2013
Pros: Location, staff friendliness, state of the rooms
Cons: Had to pay for in room internet
Location: Direct access to Mayo clinic, across from shopping center and mall, great restaurants in the vicinity
With its central location and great access to Mayo clinic this hotel is the best place to stay at if your are considering a check up at the clinic. The staff were super friendly and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. The restaurant/café outdoor patio was a real bonus.

We had a wonderful experience. The entire staff was professional and very friendly. The bellman's remembered our names, offered us bottled water and took care of every need. The rooms were clean and well kept. The hotel is in heart of downtown Rochester and has so many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. A great place to stay!

Loved the hotel and location. We got the hotel for half price, thanks to hotels.com. I don't know if I would have paid the original price for the room. All in all I loved the hotel and the pool area was excellent.
