Upgraded to a two bedroom suite at no cost. Patio on the river with firepit. Very friendly staff. Full dinner at happy hour time included. Breakfast offerings were outstanding.

Close to the Airport and University

Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: Evening free food. Reasonable breakfast and comfortable bed.
Cons: Ceiling sound proofing.
Location: No time to explore, but besides the river.
A good hotel with a nice touch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening there is a 'buffet' provided FOC. Breakfast was Good with variations each day. Reasonably quiet although noise when person on floor above wlking in room. TIP get a fourth floor room?

Graduation Weekend

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: The location was perfect for being able to get to all of the graduation weekend activities, without worrying about parking the car or getting lost.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: We were even able to have the shuttle take us to Dinosaur BBQ and come back to pick us up a few hours later. The perfect way to enjoy the evening.
Our daughter has been an undergraduate at University of Rochester for four years and we have come to Rochester once or twice, or more often each year. We had never stayed at Staybridge before this, but believe me as she completes her Masters degree at U of R next ear, if we visit Staybridge will be our choice. The staff made the graduation weekend so enjoyable with little extras - early breakfast on Sunday so that some of us could get across the bridge to save seats by 7 a.m.! The location is great, the accommodations pleasant and the staff willing to help see that everyone is comfortable. We'll be back!

Somewhat Arts/Crafts style for a change

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: All the above
Cons: Fire stairs in the center of the building. Visibility from Genesee Street. Went right past it.
Location: Convenient to Strong Memorial Hospital. Did not explore.
Prompt, pleasant, competent service. Attractive, sophisticated, quality decor. Comfortable. Just one thing: Stairways only at extreme ends of building, none in center, which seemed to be a missing component at least from the mezzanine-like area in the center over the lobby.

Convenient Hotel with great rooms

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Speedy check in and check out, great free breakfast . Our room had real dishes knives and forks just like home. Very impressive
Cons: We stayed on the 2nd floor river view room. It was a little noisy but a great view of the college and the river.
Location: The Hotel is right across the river from Rochester University via a walking bridge. You have an outdoor shopping near by with an Applebee's .
The hotel had everything that was promised. Great rooms, a pool, spa gym meeting rooms a small library and a large eating area. If you needed anything the hotel had a 24 hour pantry for snacks and small needed items.
