Very Comfortable Hotel in Rochester

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: the staff, the views, the warm, relaxed ambiance
Cons: Add lighted makeup mirrors. Light in bathroom is mediocre.
Location: It is only a 20 minute drive to downtown, well worth it for the comfort at the hotel.
Had a wonderful stay at Woodcliff and took advantage of the pool and the spa and the delicious brunch on Sunday. Every staff member I encountered was pleasant and helpful and friendly. Every need I had was accommodated (I asked to switch rooms for a different view, no problem, I asked to have a lounge chair brought poolside from outdoors, no problem, they let me borrow an umbrella for the whole day). Really excellent staff and the facility is beautiful. Great way to combine an alumni weekend with a spa experience.

I'm not going to bother rating any more hotels with you if I have to write an essay every time.

Great hotel

Great hotel. Nice facilities. Clean. Upscale.. rooms were large and comfortable. Beautiful grounds.. the bar and restaurant were great as well. I wouldn't stay any other place when I'm in Rochester. I drive an extra 10 miles from airport to stay at this hotel. It's that nice

Had a Great Time

Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: good gym and location setting
Cons: paper thin walls between rooms is a big issue
Location: hiking, walking climbing all within close range
Would have given the hotel a higher rating but the walls between rooms are paper thin. Kind of a downer when I did not get any sleep because of the noise next door when I had to have a 4 am check out time to catch a flight. All the other nights I slept well well I enjoyed the hotel.

Could not have been better

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: The room, the restaurant, the service and the view.
Cons: make sure the lobster bisque is hot when served. We were not charged.
Location: It was a quick trip and we didn't have time for things to do.
Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again in the future.

Affordable Luxury

Very nice. Only true knock was that we wanted massages and the hotel operator would (or perhaps, could) not connect us with the in-house spa. Unfortunately for them, and due to my frustration, we went elsewhere for the massage treatments but enjoyed all of the rest of our stay.
