I have business in the Charlotte area that requires overnight stays two to three times a year. The motel in very convenient to Charlotte and Pineville and of course Carowinds. Fort Hill has the usual moderately priced restaurants (across town from this motel - but easily accessible) and there are plenty of fast food places very close to the motel. I usually get a single (king, I think) which is adequate for a businessman travelling alone, however, my wife and I have stayed in the double and these rooms are also comfortable and clean. Rooms may be a little too small if you're traveling with children but at the price, you can get two rooms.

First time to stay at a Microtel. Will definitely do it again based on my experience with this particular hotel. Room and hotel itself were very clean. Staff was extremely curteous. Rates were very affordable.

The overall experience was very good. Two things that could be improved: the breakfast could be better and since I forgot my shampoo and conditioner it would have been nice to have little bottles of those in the room.
