Lounge

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Clean
Cons: The lounge
Location: a lot to see.
I found the lounge to be dive like. The bartender was in short short shorts and swearing. I felt very uneasy when her friends came in and someone just hopped behind the bar. The language was very unlady like for any bartender. Exspecially with customers. They may lease the bar and restaurant out, but they should have some kind of say on dress, language and what is and isn't appropriate when customers are present. I have been to other Hamptons and none were like this one. As far as the rooms they were great. The hotel staff were wonderful. I would like to see something besides eggs w/cheese on there breakfast. As, I cant eat cheese I was disappointed that on our 3 day stay, everyday the eggs had cheese. .

back home

Pros: the clean beds, easily accessible area, not overpriced and a friendly and casual atmosphere.
Cons: the faucet in the bathroom , not the shower, caused alot of water to go to waste waiting for the hotwater.
Location: we were more interested in visiting relatives, paid no mind to being entertained.
visiting my hometown and attending a memorial for a relative

Right in the heart of Freeport

Posted May 19, 2014
The Hampton Inn is located in the downtown area of Freeport. The building is in good shape, the parking is fine, if a bit limited, and the restaurant on the lower level of the hotel (The Main Street Bistro) is really good. There is a very small, very shallow pool, which I don't recall seeing on the hotel information page. The breakfast was, typical of a Hampton, sufficient and non-glamorous. The front desk staff was very friendly, the room was clean, the towels were soft, and the beds were comfy. We frequently stay at Hamptons when we travel, and this Hampton was exactly what we were expecting. A note about the immediate area surrounding the hotel...several locals told us not to venture out too far from the hotel after dark, especially not to the east of the property. We didn't see any problems, our car was safe, and we never felt unsafe.

Hampton Inn Freeport

Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Quite, clean, and very comforable beds.
Cons: They need to have security cameras on their two packing lots!
Location: You will want to do what ever you came to Freeport to do during the daylight hours.
Very nice hotel and a great staff, however, the location is in an impoverish part of down with a lot of nocturnal night life.

Comfortable hotel with all the amenities

Posted Aug 27, 2013
Cons: Yes - room service would have been great.
Location: Freeport sits on the Jane Addams bike trail which connects at the Wisconsin border to trails to New Glarus and Madison, so bring your bike!
A very solid hotel with all the amenities one could want...except maybe room service. But the Main Street Bistro downstairs has a pleasant staff, good food, and even local microbrews which I'm always looking for. When I came here I need to chill out and rest, and it was a perfect place to do just that.
