Quiet, clean room

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Central location for all our activities
Cons: Bathroom could use an upgrade, but clean and everything in working order.
Location: several parks just down Alpine from location, and lots of shopping and restaurants along East State.
Just needed a room for one night for Class Reunion visit. Room was clean, comfortable, and relatively quiet. Check in and out more than easy. Didn't visit breakfast so no comments on that.

Rockford Alpine stay

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Bathrooms are remodeled and spacious.
Cons: beds updated
Location: Stayed here to attend the IL railway museum the next day while on vacation.
Picture of hotel is slightly misleading. It is essentially an old single story motel strip. The rooms have had significant upgrades done to the bathrooms and dressing area. It has large rooms that appear to have been two old rooms joined together. The seems between the rooms however were not covered very well as there is a obvious spot on the floor where the 2x4 recess used to be. The beds are fairly old and sag a bit but were comfortable. I would probably stay there again.

This inexpensive hotel was a bit dated, but was very clean and the staff was excellent. Overall a great value.

excellent value

Posted May 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
I booked this place because of low rate and central location. However, I was surprised by how nice the room was at that price. Our room had a very comfortable bed and good quality furnishings. A dressing area between the bathroom and bedroom had a six foot granite-type countertop and same size mirror. Also appreciated the microwave and fridge. No problems with the wifi The continental breakfast was pretty limited. A luggage rack in the room would be useful. Desk employee gave me his card to call him if I needed driving directions after check-out.

Good Room Rate for Rockford, IL

Location: Eat
Beds worn out, very hard, TV old and big scratch on screen. Bring an air mattress if you plan to stay.

Ok. but not Great

Posted Apr 30, 2014
Pros: Price, Location
Cons: Smell of smoke
Location: Major shopping area, close to airport
Room was adequate, disappointing continental breakfast, and biggest of all even though it was a non-smoking room the smell of smoke was disappointingly still present.
