“This hotel fit our needs”

Was a very busy trip for us so we didn't spend more than 8 hours in the hotel but was comfortable and clean. Didn't go swimming but the small pool seemed like it would have been fun with a good water temperature. The continental breakfast was adequate but not special by any means. Was a good hotel for our needs. I would go back again.

Area recommendations
We chose to get out of the city (Chicago) and cut our distnace down for the next days travel so this area was really what we were looking for.

“VERY RUDE STAFF!!!”

We did not feel welcome at all at this hotel, front desk was very rude, if we asked a question was made to feel we were bothering him! Was on personal cell phone constantly! Asked for extra pillows ( usually always travel with extras ) but forgot them this trip! Even though the hotel was only half full he could not let us have 1 extra pillow! We will never stay at this hotel again, we will still stay at other Super 8's!!

“Not real impressed”

The staff was very freindly. But the bathtub was OVIOUSLY not cleaned. Shower rod loose. I cleaned tub myself. It was late & didn't wan't to bother them. Braekfast not a big selection.

“Close to I-88 and NIU”

We moved my son to Kansas City from DeKalb. Loaded his stuff into a trailer on Friday in DeKalb and spent the night, then left at the crack of dawn. Didn't get to try the breakfast, but the night was restful, the room was clean, and the staff was pleasant. Can't ask for more...

“Good value, pleasant staff”

There was a couple of leaky faucets in our room, but overall we were quite happy; hotel has a pool that my son loved, it was convenient to where we needed to be. They accepted our Irish Setter with no problem; lots of places to walk him and we felt quite safe. The owners were friendly and staff were pleasant and attended to our room just the way they should. The air conditioner worked better than any I have had in these types of hotels. Overall, the room was simple and straightforward, the hotel accepted pets, and this was just what we needed.

Area recommendations
Nice big parks - don't remember their names - with playgrounds for my kids.

“Super 8 Dekalb”

Slightly remote, perfect for a quiet weekend. Plenty of open space for the dogs to run. Across the road from a golf course, and just off I-88. "Breakfast" was sparse.Super 8 Dekalb

“Convenient to NIU”

We have stayed here several times while visiting our daughter at NIU -- it's conveniently located and reasonably priced. The breakfast is a little sparse, but you get what you pay for.

“Nice place to crash”

Clean. Nice staff. iPhone had a diff address but we figured it out. Only a ten dollar cab ride to Otto's (that's why we were there)

“Great Location - Close to Campus”

It's a basic hotel. It met our needs for one night. It's very close to campus, which is what we were looking for. The staff was very friendly. It would have been nice to have more food at breakfast, but we were okay with it.
