“"Noisy"”

There was a wedding in this Hotel and the people near our bedroom spoke very loud. We complained with these people, after some minutes, they came back and continued to talk in their bedroom. Maybe because we have doors between our bedrooms, we could listen. The Hotel should split wedding's guest and other guest!

“Room for improvement”

Swimming pool was not operating, noticed only on arrival. Rooms should have refrigerators.Space for clothing, luggage, short. Breakfast not included, at a rate not low. Personnel fine. Non smoking rooms available. (Other hotels in the area offer "smoking.permitted" rooms). Overall experience was ok, but I think next time will try to find a better offer.

Area recommendations

Boston, Cape Cod, Newport (in that order).

“Comfortable, Suburban Hotel”

All staff I met were friendly and helpful with their advice. Dined in hotel restaurant for dinner at least twice- food was good and fairly priced. Maybe could have some more choices on the menu. If visiting downtown Boston it is a short drive to the subway stop at Braintree (Red line). You should consider that is takes approximately 30 minutes to get downtown on the subway from there.

Area recommendations

We enjoyed Charles Street because of the nice shops. Also we went into the Prudential Center, which also had a lot of shops and places to eat. And of course Boston Common is a convenient place to relax and people watch.

Getting around

We used the orange trolley buses which tour around the downtown area, the seaport area and also go over to Cambridge. You can get on and off them whenever you want which is really convenient if you see a place you want to explore.

Must see

If you are the least bit interested in art or history you shouldn't miss going to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Plan on being there the whole day!

“Good location for business travelers of south shore”

I've used this hotel the same time frame every year for the last 3 years (dropping child off at camp) - for the first 2 years, I was able to get the hotel for about 40% of the cost this year. There was no flexibility in the price this year and there appeared to be very little difference in overall quality (no upgrades, updates or capital improvements). Other than the issue described above, the staff was very helpful and courteous, the room was comfortable and the location was central to my needs.

“will stay there again”

second time in this hotel, first as a holiday inn. very impressed and conveniently located to family and friends all over boston and south shore. bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom was large and clean.

When to go

reserve early if going end of may or early june. holiday inn turned down several requests due to being filled up, i'm assuming because of all of the area graduations.

“Meet and Exceed your Need”

Holiday Inn Boston South was the perfect place for a business traveller. The rooms were ample in size, comfortable, (lots of pillows!), great internet access. The in-house bar and restuarant (on the second floor - right above the lobby) provided a nice and relaxing atmosphere for a decent meal at a fair price. As a Holiday Inn Priority Club Member, I was welcomed to partake in free 'happy hour' snacks. My waitress at breakfast was especially great - kind, upbeat - the best way to start the day.

This is a great hotel close enough to boston traveling back and forth the restuurant is great, service was wonderful,room was wonderful, great experience all around definately recommend highly
