This is the old Whitney Motel, a circa 1952 motel that serviced the traffic along US 27 before the interstates came. It's been through several hands in the last couple of years, and maintenance hasn't been the highest priority of any owners in the last decade. The sheets had cigarette burns and the towels were stained and not exactly white. That being said, it was safe and very close to where I needed to be. There isn't anything else in Rockwood, and you'd have to stay at the Harriman I40 exit at twice the price. Also, no ID or credit card was requested or required with the expedia printout, just in case your interested.
