Nice hotel, close to highway 301.

Pros: It was conveniently located close to lots of restaurants and shopping.
Cons: I didn't see any areas that need improvement.
Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants.
The room was very nice, and was very clean. The hotel staff were so friendly and welcoming. When we are in the area again, we will definitely stay here.

Pros: Very clean. Extremely comfortable bed.
Very close access to the highway and yet set back away from noise. Staff was friendly and the room was extremely comfortable. Beds are great.

Clean and very comfortable.

Cons: The bathroom and especially the bathtub/shower was very shabby. The room looked so new and fresh, the bathroom was very disappointing.
We arrived very late, the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. Bed and linens were very comfortable. Room appeared to be recently remodeled.

Close to I-95

This hotel was the perfect place to stop off of I-95 for a overnight stay. Staff way very friendly, and surprisingly they knocked on our door around 8 PM asking us if we needed and incidentals we may have forgotten, extra blankets, water and snacks. That was certainly a plus to our stay after driving 12 hours. The rates were comparible in that location but the service was outstanding. Nice surprise! Although we did not utilize the Bistro it was available.

TOO OLD

THIS PROPERTY WAS OUT OF DATE....THE ROOM WAS SO DARK FOR LACK OF LAMPS ETC IT WAS DIFFUCULT TO EVEN READ A NEWSPAPER OR BOOK. THIS PROPERTY DEFINITELY NEEDS AN UPDATING. EVEN THE FURNITURE WAS CHIPPED AND SCARRED.

A refuge after a long drive

After 13 hours on the road this Courtyard is a pleasant stop. The facility is well located; far enough from the highway to reduce any noise and near several restaurants. After its recent face lift the facility is in very good shape with a pleasant lobby and clean comfortable rooms. On our way back from Florida we have now stopped here on several occasions and find the facility very comforting.

Rocky Mount Half Way Point

Pros: Staff and the excellent bed.
Cons: The bathroom needed updating and the elevator was indeed the slowest one ever as I had read in other reviews.
Location: The location is very convenient right off the interstate and it is mid point between Florida and the northeast.
Needed a place to stay for one night after 10-hour drive. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept for 9 hours, which is unheard of. The bathroom tub was chipping, and the furniture looked a little used, but the staff was excellent. I thought a Marriott hotel would be a little spiffier. Price was fair, but I will pick a newer place to stay next time that includes a breakfast.

We enjoyed the pool & exercise room. I did hesitate getting into the pool because the clarity was not at its best. We also had a room with a king size bed, please give us two baggage holders! What bothered us the most was the question we asked "do you have breakfast?" Yes you do & we have to pay for everything. Not even a free coffee refill. You chain is now on our list of places to stay if all others are full. Must say this also, your staff is the best, its just to bad they work for a cheap son-of-a-gun!

All Courtyards are going to the Bistro concept which is restaurant style with Starbucks. As a brand the complimentary lobby coffee was eliminated 1/1/14; however complimentary in room coffee is still offered in the guest rooms. Thank you for your business and I hope the Courtyard brand has the opportunity to earn your future business.

Pleasant stay, convenient to visited sites

On arrival, we were greeted by two very pleasant and smiling ladies at the desk. It was a nice way to start our visit. They specifically asked us to let them know if we needed ANYTHING. One was Amanda. Sorry I don't remember the other lady's name.
