Good place to stay in Estes Park

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: This hotel is in a great location to see Rocky Mountain National Park
Cons: The hot tub room smalled of mold.
We enjoyed the lovely pool and the breakfast was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was right, and we found it convenient for the trips we were taking.

Good overall motel

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Good location, good access, out of the main city, good, well-kept motel.
Location: Go to the lake, less than 1/2 mile, rent a boat, go to the amusement area about 1 mile for other entertainment. Motel has pool, hot tub, games.
It was a very smooth check-in & check-out. The room was very clean & the corner room we had gave us the best view of the lake and entire mountain range. We will stay again for a longer time.

Perfect for families or old folks like us

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: The staff and rooms.
Location: Bubba's since we read all kinds of raves. It was so-so except the Greek-garlic fries were yummy. Twin Owl Rocks. Stanley Hotel.
The staff were so welcoming, we felt like family. Estes Park is very busy but Murphy's was a nice little nook to get away and just be. We grabbed dinner and sat at the table and chairs outside each room. It was a beautiful warm evening and we loved watching families enjoying all the benefits of the resort. With so much going on outside, it was a pleasant surprise that our rooms were very quiet. That and not having people walking in rooms above made for a peaceful stay. One thing I really loved about our room was the clean wooden floors (with a nice little area rug) rather than wall to wall carpeting. The place just sparkled, it was so clean. If we're ever in the area again, Murphy's will be our first choice.

Good hotel on edge of Estes Park

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Very welcoming and helpful staff. Spacious room and we only had a standard one. Clean and very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Small but new laundry. One washer and one dryer but new and worked well. Very good included continental breakfast which kept us going well hiking. Situated on road into Estes Park.

Nice family resort

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: pool, playground, family atmosphere, friendly staff
We enjoyed our stay at Murphy's. It is great for families with children, who can run and play and use their new and excellent playground equipment. It is an old resort, but was completely renovated two years ago The premises are excellent and well cared for. All this for a reasonable price. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
