Pros: Amenities, Staff, Breakfast, Clean, Atmosphere, Room, Location, Everything!
Cons: Ran out of hot water once, could use door updates and new cleaner trim. How about a night light in the bathroom! hotels never have that!
Location: Location was good. Not in the heart of it all be close enough and near the lake.
Lots to do at resort there for a family. Rooms are nicely done, clean and decorated well! They seem to be continually updating and that's nice to know. Staff and ownership was excellent and you can see they keep up on the work there and in every corner of the place. Feels homey rather than like the regular stiff hotel. Got a nice view out of our window. I would go back there without a question.

Good enough.

Location: Dave's Smokehouse. You'll wait 30 minutes to get seated - but it will be worth it. And I loathe waiting, especially with two young kids.
Rooms were a bit dated, but the staff did their best to make us as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is continental - nothing warm here. Our boys raved about the recreation options with volleyball, shuffleboard, tetherball, playground, pool, hot tub, etc. Still, it's the kind of place where if your neighbor flushes the stool while you're showering, you're sure to get scalded.

Nice place with very friendly staff.

Pros: The hot tub and the staff.
Cons: Get rid of the cheap shampoo/soap containers which you cannot reach if you are taking a bath without standing up.
Location: It is quite close to Rocky Mountain National Park.
This was a "mom and pop" type facility. It was roomy and very clean. There was a pool which I did not use and a hot tub which I did and which was wonderful. One end of it was deep enough to stand in with the water to my chin! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There were board games and movies to borrow and there were outside games like tether ball and horseshoes to entertain families and many families seemed to be enjoying them. I would give them a 5 except that the room was very plain with cheap and inconvenient soap and shampoo holders on the wall and a hairdryer which must be from the 60's. For the price I paid I would have expected something a little more luxurious but this may be because of the season and place.

Was a disappointment

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: The beds were comfortable, it had a good view, and once we shut the AC/heater off it was quiet.
Cons: The wifi rarely worked unless you sat in the office. One evening they turned the sprinklers on our car.
Location: It is very convenient for visiting the park.
We booked this sight unseen. It is an older motel but they have made an effort to have things there that you may need. There was water for sale in the office, DVDs to borrow, games to play.

Rustic outdated motel

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Getting away from it as fast as possible.
Cons: Everything. The place should be torn down and rebuilt to bring it into the 21st century.
Location: We were so disgusted by the accommodations that we just got out of town as fast as we could.
Rooms are outdated and creepy - they look like they haven't been updated since the 1950's. I would never stay in a place like this again.

Pros: Very friendly, very clean. Lots to do on site for families.
Cons: Perhaps have some firmer pillows available. The pillows were so soft that they offered no support at all. The beds were very firm...an offer of a matt
Overall it was a very nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, the grounds were well maintained and the rooms were very clean. The only two issues were the beds are overly firm and the pillows were too soft so we did not sleep well, and the hot tub is huge, but most of the jets were not working. Great place for families with small children!

Nice motel close to town and activities.

Very clean and recently updated. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms was spotless. I was disappointed that the blinds would not close due to the window a/c unit being in the way. The pool is large and clean and same goes for the hot tub. I think they could do a better job with breakdast, maybe some real brewed coffee and a waffle maker and more fresh fruit options. Overall I was pleased and would stat there again. Thank you Murphy's Resort.
