Family Vacation

The location of the property is fantastic. Not in the heart of town but close. Main problem with hotel is the decor is dated and worn. Property states will be remodeled in late 2014. Will see what it looks like after. If it is not improved I will spend my money elsewhere.

Great, friendly eco-hotel

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff.
Location: Very close to entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
We stayed for one night in a king room and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel does a lot to reduce it's impact on the environment which is admirable. The room was large and clean. The hotel has a large indoor pool. It's about 15 mins walk from the centre of town where there are lots of food choices.

Adequate at best.

While within walking distance to Estes Mark. The hotel offered few amenities, and is in need of updating and repair. A strong smell of cleaning products in rooms and hallways makes one wonder what is being covered up. The elevator was always very slow to arrive for service. Not sure why.

Nice hotel, close to downtown Estes Park.

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool / recreation area was very nice and nicely situated for young people.
Cons: If the room had a microwave and a refrigerator, it would have been close to perfect.
It was a nice room, comfortable but without a microwave or refrigerator. The swimming pool would have been a delight for young children, but we are retired. The hot tub was nice and there are pool tables and foosball also in the same large recreation area. The hotel is easy to find and very close (my wife walked there) to downtown Estes Park and all the restaurants and shops. Rocky Mountain National Park is a short drive away, and in fact, all the gorgeous views are very close by.

Clean the bedding much????

Posted Jun 2, 2014
At first I really liked the hotel. I was so excited to flop on that king size bed after a 2 hour drive. But when I was snuggling into the blankets I noticed a disgusting brown stain on the blanket. Then crumbs all over the bed and the last straw was a red painted fingernail clipping that jabbed my leg. We werent going to risk it in another room. It was clear they didnt wash the bedding between stays and all of the other decent hotels in town were booked. Needless to say we slept in the car and will never stay there again!
Comment from Hotel Management
Jun 7, 2014
Hello: Managers are available 24/7 to address issues, and this issue warrants speaking with a manager or at a minimum the front desk, which you declined to do. If this indeed happened, it would not be acceptable to us as a hotel, and you would have been moved to a satisfactory room and compensated appropriately for your trouble. Thank you

Rocky Mountain Park Inn

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: Beds and pool
Cons: Elevator was old and very slow (really not a big deal)
Location: Rocky Mountain National Park, enough said !
We had two rooms for one night and found this facility very nice. We enjoyed the warm swimming pool and the comfortable beds. We appreciate the fact that all rooms will be updated in 2014, even though they are pretty nice the way they are. That's called keeping ahead of the curve and just good business. We will gladly stay there again.

Comfortable base for Rocky Mountain NP

Other than a painfully slow elevator (only a problem when taking luggage up and down) - everything was quite nice. Quiet, comfortable room.

When this was Holiday Inn this was our favorite hotel. I was excited to stay here again. When we hot checked in the front desk guy had said where the pool and hot tub were located. We come here for the pool and hit tub. Pool for the kids hot tub for me to relax in. We went to our room got our swimming stuff on went down to the pool area to find our the hot tub was broke. Why was that not listed on expedia it normally would have been then we could have found somewhere else to stay. Front desk didn't tell us no one said a word. I was very disappointed . I paid $150 for this hotel And didn't even get to sit in the hot tub. Also restaurant was closed at 630 at night. Change machine in game room was broke. Not sure I'll come back again.
