TRAVEL AGENTS - NEVER RECOMMAND THIS HOTEL!Posted Dec 1, 2013
Cons: CHANGE MANAGEMENT!
Location: location was ok
I am a Travel Agent and had an elderly couple booked for 1 night pre-cruise November 2013. The hotel had been reserved months ago with Expedia and paid in full. Upon their arrival around 5pm they were told that the hotel had no more rooms left and offered a re-imbursement. My clients and others in the lobby were in the same situation finding themselves with no place to stay that night! After hours of travelling suitcases my clients in a strange town were not very happy. They argued and begged for help, the reception attendants were rude and non co-operative, they finally offered to try and find another hotel in the area for them, of course my clients wanted to secure the price they had paid and were asked to sign a voucher for the rate and as a compensation they were offering to provide a shuttle to the Cruise Terminal the next morning. They finally came back with another options a few blocks down the road, but not providing transfers or help with luggages, the next morning they were to go back to Hotel San Giorgio for breakfast. They had to beg and tip to get help carrying their suitcases to the other hotel to sleep for the night and the next morning walked back to San Giorgio for breakfast. Front desk were rude and transfers to the Cruise Port was not including suitcases and pick up from the substitute hotel they were at. This was a nightmare for the beginning of a beautiful vacation ahead. NEVER OFFER THIS HOTEL TO YOUR CLIENT

Great place right on the waterfront.Posted Nov 7, 2013
Hotel was good but I wouldn't use their transfer services as they were very over priced.

Don't know , didn't get our room, some story aboutPosted Nov 7, 2013
Arrived at the hotel, to be told that they had no water in the rooms, and that we had to go to another hotel. I had emailed the hotel the previous afternoon to confirm our arrival, but they didn't tell us of water problems then. We saw other people arrive after us and were booked into the hotel. Because I signed a waver to go to another hotel, ( WHAT ELSE WERE WE TO DO with 3 big bags ) they wernt very helpful.

Disappointing stayPosted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: Location to cruise terminal.
Cons: More honesty on what exactly is offered.
Location: Nice sea front walk with beach and some small shops.
Had top room with balcony looking out towards the sea which was nice but room was small with stairs going up from ground level to the sleeping area which was very hot and as bathroom was on the ground level this was not suitable for those with difficulties with stairs or for children. Breakfast next morning was very disappointing as only continental offered and selection was small and limited. Took hotel shuttle bus to join our cruise ship and was charged 10 euros per person to make a half a mile journey.

Very nice, clean hotel close to the portPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: It was very close to the port.
We were very impressed with the hotel, it was clean and comfortable I stayed at the hotel with my disabled mother and the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help with the lifts and opening doors etc. We were unable to take the shuttle mini van to the port because my mum couldn't climb into it and so they used a private car to take us and also pick us up after the cruise. I would most definitely stay there again.

Wonderful hotel precriuse to unwindPosted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: A boutique hotel in a great location - perfect for an overnight stay after a long flight - transfer to the ship was very professional.
Location: Beautiful waterfront promenade for walks - lots of stores and restaurants in close proximity. Very close to the cruiseport.
We were greeted warmly. our room was clean and spacious overlooking sea. Had an amazing dinner in their restaurant for a reasonable amount of money for quality of food and service. Buffet breakfast the next morning was a treat. Would highly recommend.
