Stay was great, service was the on right the mark. Would return. Note the resort sits on a hill over look the bay Two blocks from the beach. Going down, no problem, acsending up the hill was a workout All 101 steps. We could not get enough of the view from the condo, simply beautiful.

If you're looking for a luxury resort, this isn't it. What it is however, is a perfectly sized, authentic Mexican atmosphere like hotel. It's all really beautiful! Location wise, it's perfect. It's close to everything but yet positioned far enough away from the noise of the boardwalk. It's right on the beach and close to that pier thing that you see in some pictures.
My boyfriend and I did the all inclusive package which was great. People saying the food is bad, I don't get it. It's buffet style, with several options for appetizers, main courses, side dishes, and dessert. It was all really good. There were authentic Mexican dishes but there were also things like pizza (which is to die for). You're going to get several different great options, buffet style. I highly recommend the waiter Betulio. He cared about you despite the fact that you weren't a local. Tip him! The bartenders were constantly swamped, mainly helping locals before they got to you.
Get an ocean front room. End of story. It was the most beautiful view and SO worth it considering the hotel is shaped like a U so it's the luck of the draw really. The bed was HUGE. The bathroom was tiny, but the shower was huge.
Negative-ish: They seem to allow locals to buy day passes, which I'm sure is good for business, but was a bit annoying bc the entertainment was directed towards them, it created long lines, and kids were all over the place. People will constantly try to sell you stuff too, get your no gracias ready.

Staff is very nice, However I booked through Expedia and when we checked in they requested an additonal $10. per night as we had reservations for a "Jr. Suite" only. I have been coming to this hotel for at least the last 10 years and there have never been any additinal charges for a "larger" suite. I believe all the rooms are the same . Very disappointing.

This hotel is situation a block from the beach, the staff are all very helpful and friendly and the rooftop pool is great too. The rooms are small and do have a strong musty odour as mentioned in other reviews, so if your picky about things like that, you might want to pay a bit extra for their sister hotel on the waterfront Los Arcos.

Perfect spot for visiting the Romantic zone on a budget. The friendly, helpful staff is willing to assist you with anything you may need. Simple, clean room with a comfortable bed. Reserve a room with an ocean view -- it's worth the few extra dollars.
I also got an EXCELLENT massage from a short, muscular Latino masseur in a blue shirt who works at one of the small businesses right across the street from the hotel. I wish he was here in LA -- I would go to him every week!

Very attentive staff who had wonderful recommendations for us to experience around town. The facilities were exceptional, somewhat secluded and quite yet only a few block from the beach, restaurants, bars etc. The hotel restaurant Taste we experienced excellent service and food. I would absolutely recommend your vacation in Paradise at Casa Cupula.

This is an older hotel but for the price I paid, I thought it was an excellent deal. The all-inclusive food and beverage was very good for the price. I paid $14.00 Canadian per day per person. I had that drank before breakfast everyday. I didn't eat there a lot but nibbled throughout the day and some days the food was really good and other days not so good. I did not eat dinner there as there are so many fabulous restaurants in the area, I wanted to experience. The location is excellent.

On our recent trip to PV, we were looking for a comfortable hotel in Old Town PV that was affordable. This spot hits the benchmark there, as it is a cute, quaint location in the heart of Old Town. Close walking distance to numerous cafes and restaurants, and a short walk to the beach and Malecon. The rooms are comfortable, nothing fancy, but the staff keeps the grounds and the rooms really clean. The pool is more than adequate for lounging in. All in all, this place is a gem. Would stay there again gladly.

The Rio Cuale divides downtown and the Romantic Zone, an area brimming with bars, restaurants, and shops. Isla Rio Cuale features a river walk and a small museum with pre-Columbian artifacts. Stretching for 16 blocks along the shore, the Malecón boardwalk is lined with bronze sculptures and palm trees. Boats depart from a nearby pier to Yelapa and Los Arcos, favored by divers and snorkelers.
