I stayed at Playa Los Arcos for a week in May. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Puerto Vallarta for all the action. It is right on the beach and close to great places to eat. The hotel is older and has a colonial flavour. Very busy place during the weekend while I was there. They advertise free wifi but it was very difficult to get it to work well, especially during the busy weekend. I ended up having to find wifi elsewhere. Not a deal breaker but mildly annoying. The rooms are clean but showing their age. The staff friendly. I would probably stay there because of the location.

Stay was great, service was the on right the mark. Would return. Note the resort sits on a hill over look the bay Two blocks from the beach. Going down, no problem, acsending up the hill was a workout All 101 steps. We could not get enough of the view from the condo, simply beautiful.

This is an older hotel but for the price I paid, I thought it was an excellent deal. The all-inclusive food and beverage was very good for the price. I paid $14.00 Canadian per day per person. I had that drank before breakfast everyday. I didn't eat there a lot but nibbled throughout the day and some days the food was really good and other days not so good. I did not eat dinner there as there are so many fabulous restaurants in the area, I wanted to experience. The location is excellent.

This is an alright hotel. Value for money. It's quite simple. Don't expect luxury like shampoo or a hair dryer. Eventhough they claim to have wifi we couldn't get it working. The elevator doesn't work and it looks like it has not worked for a while and will not be repaired in the foreseeable future. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is good although it doesn't face the ocean. The street has a sense of community with cafés and small restaurants.

Blue chairs has a great location. Some of the staff are really nice and try so hard to make the stay wonderful for guests. However, the hotel needs to invest in making the ammenities and physical look much more pleasant. For the staff and location, I might stay there again if the price is low. But I am tempted to check out other locations to see other options.

The Rio Cuale divides downtown and the Romantic Zone, an area brimming with bars, restaurants, and shops. Isla Rio Cuale features a river walk and a small museum with pre-Columbian artifacts. Stretching for 16 blocks along the shore, the Malecón boardwalk is lined with bronze sculptures and palm trees. Boats depart from a nearby pier to Yelapa and Los Arcos, favored by divers and snorkelers.
