good location, fair price, small hotel only 20 rooms, and they need to improve their service. there is not lobby at the street level, so, it is difficult to believe that there is a hotel there at second floor

Great location.Posted Jul 9, 2011
The location was great, but the hotel is hard to find. We had to change rooms for the second night. The elevator was too small for people and luggage. The saving thing about the hotel is the location. I would use it again for that reason.

Loved AuroraPosted Aug 16, 2009 on Hotels.com
The front desk lady named Aurora was FANTASTIC! So helpful and friendly and gave you all the information you needed. The hotel is undergoing a few small renovations it seems, but nice and safe and cozy. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby and dining area.

Hotel MarcusPosted Jul 12, 2009
The hotel was an ideal location for all the tourist attractions in rome. There were 6 of us in 3 rooms and we were well looked after by the hotel staff.

Excellent location but that's about itPosted Jun 24, 2009
The location of the hotel was awesome. Close to the Spanish steps, trevi fountain, the panthenon and shopping. However, they are still doing renovations and our room had no air conditioning! It was 25-27 degrees C in there each night. Making it nearly impossible to sleep. Opening the window was not the best option either as there was construction scaffolding right outside our window. One morning when we had it open every worker managed to walk by our window. They we so close we coluld have stepped onto the scaffolding right from our window ledge. Not to mention our shower door was broken so taking a shower was not very easy and the floor ended up getting soaking wet. If these issues were reslived it would defintely be worth staying here. I would call the hotel and ask about these things first before staying here.

Nothing special, but perfect place to sleepPosted Apr 29, 2009 on Hotels.com
The amazing location of the hotel is enough to make you look past some of it's flaws. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything they said it would (air conditioning, TV, small refrigerator, clean bathroom). The bathroom didn't have a shower curtain and small parts of the hotel were under construction, but the staff was nice enough to go through some of the major sites on the map. Don't expect the staff to go above and beyond that, but they meet an acceptable level of service. Breakfast was good, just make sure that it is included in your hotel cost.

Excellent location to be able to walk to all of Rome toursit sites ie Vatican, colloisum, fountainsPosted Oct 28, 2008
Breakfast was not available due to long term construction and no alternative was offered. Gave refund of $10.00. With Rome being so expensive due to the exchange rate this was a disappointment. We should have been given this information at booking. There are steps that lead to the elevator which we did not know. So dragging large suitcases up the steps was a challenge. Room was clean and recently remodled though very small--as expected in older European cities. Location was wonderful as we walked every where. Staff was very helpful with logistics and calling for transportation back to the airport.

CentraltPosted Sep 9, 2008 on Hotels.com

HORRIBLE HOTELPosted Sep 9, 2008 on Hotels.com
Sink leaked. Shower didn't close/was also clogged. There was a beeping noise every 8 seconds that kept us awake all night. Terrible, horrible hotel. Never would go back..

If your desperatePosted Aug 12, 2008 on Hotels.com
This hotel is basically just a place to sleep. It was cheap and centrally located, however the service you recieve is awful and they are renovating so its noisey. If your room is anywhere near the reception desk you can hear everything going on because the walls are paper thin. The shower was difficult to get into for my fiance and I, and we are both very small, skinny people. Go to this hotel only if your desperate and broke. Otherwise, spend a little extra and get a better hotel.
