GREAT LOCATION AND PRICEPosted Mar 26, 2014
Cons: The women in the morning is a bit loud on her cell phone.(the women that makes the breakfast)
Location: you could walk to the piazza novena, which is a great square. Also, there is an area of Trastevere where you could eat and go out to bars.
This was a great value place to stay in rome. The location is phenomenal and very safe. The price was a great factor also. We were able to walk to many of the attractions, and the bus was a 3 min walk from our hotel. The downsides of the place was that you could hear the bell in the morning loud and I woke up from that, but was able to go back to sleep. before you check in, you must call the hotel to notify them of you coming in, so that someone can be there to check you in. I emailed the day before and called and there was someone there waiting for me when we arrived. they give you a key, then its on you, the staff(1 women) will only be there from 8-10am in the morning for breakfast, other times if you have an issue, you must call them. we didnt have any issues. also, it is on the 3rd floor i believe, so it was about 4-5 flights of stairs( i don't think there were elevators). The entrance was this big dark door with graffiti on it.

Not for everyone.Posted Jun 28, 2013
Pros: The room was simple and clean. The B&B is within walking distance of many of the main tourist sites. Cons: The breakfast was bad; OK coffee but cheap packaged pastries, white bread, and sugary cereal were the only offerings. The B&B is on a street that is very noisy until about 4:00 am.

My experiencePosted Oct 10, 2012
Pros: Very close to Vatican City
Cons: No support staff
Location: Heart of Rome, close to Vatican City - about 15 minutes walk
Even though it is listed as a hotel, it is actually a bread and breakfast place. There is no front desk, so if you are arriving late, in all likelihood you would not be able to check in. The housekeeper does not live in Rome and works only during the day time starting at 8.00 AM. I arrived at about 2.00 PM, had a difficult time finding the address. I found that the entrance was locked, rang the bell and waited for about 30 minutes when someone came from outside and opened the door to get in. I told her that I had a booking when I realized that she was actually the housekeeper. However she told me that there was no room in that building. But she was aware of my reservation and had a room for me in a building a short distance away. Nobody should up the next day to do the bed and clean up the room. I told her that I had to leave the day of my departure early (7.30 AM) and requested her to come a little early for my breakfast. But she declined stating that she lives outside Rome and cannot come any early. She instructed me to leave the keys behind and leave when I have to. I did not get any receipt for my stay.

Hotel Giubbonari 23, great location, just look past the constructionPosted Aug 19, 2010
once i arrived in Roma i grabbed a map and made my way to A Via dei Giubbonari 23 by bus, which was fairly easy for someone who doesn't speak Italian. i had a little trouble finding the street because it's very small and easily over looked. the room was just what i expected it to be. it's a B&B with a common room and private baths for each room. the sheets were clean and so was the bathroom. the room had air-con and a small tv. the building was a little old and under some extreme renovation. once you enter the building from the street you will see what looks like a building that is still being built. but this is just surprising at first site. as of 08/2010 the room is located in a great area which makes it easily walk able to most of the land marks. there is also a bus line just one block away. i was even able to arrange a lift to the airport with Orlando the owner/manager for the day i departed. all in all, safe, clean, affordable.
