Great for family

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Nice location in close proximity to Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. There is a supermarket across the street and several restaurants close by where we had take out pizza that we would then eat in our room so that the kids can watch TV. Pros: great location, we had a very nice and spacious apartment, very modern and in good shape, well functioning air condition, internet works well, friendly staff. Cons: This is a residenca and not a hotel. We arrived by car and wanted to drop off our luggage at the hotel before returning the rental. This is only possible after 18:00 because the hotel is in a limited travel zone and you cannot enter without a permit during the day. A hotel would get exceptions for guests but not a residenca. Plan accordingly when you want to arrive or depart by car. Alternatively you can drop off the car at termini and take a taxi to the hotel.

Staff was super helpful, location was great, and the apartments were spacious and clean. It was nice to have the option to cook breakfast or lunch a couple days while we were on our trip.

great base for family

Lovely spacious room. We had the sofa bed and the children had the bedroom but we all slept like logs. Very quiet room, even early in the morning. The lift is fun too. Handy for the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Close to other sights and a main bus stop. Well stocked Spar opposite.

Great Family Stay

Posted Feb 8, 2014
We just returned from a week at Al Saraceno and really enjoyed it. There were 3 of us (two adults and one 4 years old) and we rented the one bedroom grand apartment. The apartment was very spacious and quiet modern inside and was well equipped (but from some reason it didn't have a microwave or jug, which I recommend they add). The hotel was very well located halfway between the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps so very near to the main shopping area and plenty of restaurants, in addition the SPAR right next door was also very handy. We had a couple of wet days when we were there so it was great the room had cable TV with both English and Italian audio tracks to keep my son busy when we finished sightseeing early on those days.  Those who are planning to book need to bear in mind the front desk closes at 8pm and it’s not a full service hotel more like a daily serviced apartment, but for us that was fine.  The staff on the front desk were also really helpful and friendly and provided some good advice. They really help make our stay enjoyable. When we go back to Rome we will stay there again due to the combination of great location, facilities, staff and atmosphere.

Like to have space in centre of town

Great staff. For some reason there were no glasses or plates in the flat but I didn't spend enough time there to worry about it.

Fantastic once we found it!

Posted Jul 15, 2013
Pros: It's proximity to great shopping, great food and the historical sights as well as a very comfortable bed.
Cons: The lift is tiny maybe 3 people max but that is quite standard for Italy generally.
Location: Awesome!
The hotel experience was great once we got there but driving in Rome is a nightmare! The hotel is on a very small street and was quite hard to find. However once we got there it was a true pleasure! Great location and great rooms. Very comfortable and well equipped. Many great coffees, cakes and gelati's were enjoyed while we were there!

Excellent apartment hotel for families

Posted Aug 31, 2012
Pros: Size of the apartment and its location
Cons: Lacked a microwave
Location: Very centrally located near all important landmarks
Traveling as a family is a challenge in many ways, but a comfortable room can make a huge difference in the quality of the trip. Our recent stay at Al Saraceno was at the last 6 days of our 21-day Italy trip. We had a very large apartment with 1 bedroom, a large living area, a large kitchen with stove, fridge and dishwasher and a good size bathroom with an additional sink outside of the bathroom. Everything worked very well, and the AC was excellent. The hotel is located between Trevi fountain and Spanish steps, a very good location because from there you are less then 10-15 minute walk to Pantheon, Piazza Novano, and the Imperia Fora. Remember that this is not a traditional hotel with services and amenities, however the front desk staff was very good with providing information and make reservation. The room was cleaned daily. They do not supply dishwasher soap or paper towels, but there is a grocery store right across the street.

Excellent choice

Pros: Room size, location
Cons: No breakfast in hotel, but many options nearby
Location: Great location, safe neighborhood
Huge room for European standards. Great location, close to all major sites in Rome most within walking distance. Also convenient there is a grocery directly across the street. Very helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Best location

Our hotel had the perfect location in Rome. Within walking distance of most sites, and the Metro. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to experience Rome.
