Pros: Excellent hotel - efficient and
Cons: Carpets could be cleaner
Location: Visitors to Rome would do well to start their day by heading to the Villa Borghese (as a way into the sights)

I paid 10E for a terrible pizza in the hotel bar on my arrival night. Upon checkout, I was told that breakfast did NOT come with my room the night before the GCT tour began, but for which I had booked a room on my own. Could someone maybe have mentioned that to me at reservation time, at checkin, etc.?????????????????

Hotel was lovely. Walked about 15 minutes to metro station. Room was very nice and bed sheets changed everyday and kept to high standard. The staff were all very approachable . Breakfast was continental and was fine , and if they run out of anything they fill it up, they offer hot chocolate, latte, tea, coffee. Etc in the morning which tastes good along with your pastries , rolls , meat, cheese, fruit juice, bacon and scrambled egg. There is quite a few nice local restaurants around thus area, especially the Chinese a out 5 minute walk away which was lovely . The have tv channels in Italian and English and there was movies channels on every day and no cost . I would come back to this hotel if going back to Rome

Better than what was expectedPosted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
We did get a room that we were not happy with but the staff were very helpfull and changed it for us. They did every thing to make the stay very comfortable. The reception staff could have been a little more welcoming and warm but I suppose we're all different. They were very informative and did answer all our questions. Room was very clean, bes made every day, new towels every day and topped up with toiletries. Rome itself was nice but comparing with london as a city they have a lot to do to match it. Overall a good stay.

Great hotel, highly recommended!Posted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: The unique decor!
Location: It's about a 30 minute walk to the centre of Rome, but a 10minute car drive. Parking was 4 euros for 12 + hours.
This hotel is great and I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I would have liked is a better variety of breakfast food.

Great for any kind of holidayPosted Jul 24, 2013
Location: An easy walk to the central attractions of Rome, great location if you don't mind not being in the thick of it all.
We were extremely happy staying here at this hotel, with the friendly and helpful staff and the extra spacious rooms, there wasn't much we could fault. Especially as we enjoyed the walk, that would seem as quite a hike to some people, in to see all the attractions of Rome. The breakfast was great, although originally they didn't have us down as a free breakfast, but a gentle reminder was all they needed and it was fine. I cant really fault anything, the hotel was always clean, and the room we had for the three of us was plenty big enough, and the balcony we didn't know we would be getting was another added bonus, even with a slightly ominous stain on it! I would definitely, if I ever felt the desire to go back to Rome, stay here again!

4 day family holidayPosted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: The staff were extremely polite and helpful.
Location: Some may say that it is far from the main attractions but we walked it in around 25 minutes and if not you can always take the bus 63 straight there!
There are two adults and two grown children in our family. We arrived on a Saturday evening and had only Sunday and Saturday to fit in all our activities before flying off on Tuesday early morning. We stayed in a quad family room, which was very comfortable, plenty of mirrors, a balcony and bathroom. Beds weren't ok, one double and two singles, One single bed was a fold-up and was slightly hard but not too bad and could get a good nights sleep. Seeing as we had never been to Rome before and not really done our homework, we were quite clueless. But, when going down to the reception and asking, the staff were so helpful and gave us maps and pointed out the "hop-on-hop-off" buses and everything else that we wanted to do. We easily managed to see 7 major sites in one day and had a relaxing day on Sunday. There is even a nice little restaurant opposite the hotel called Bla Kongo, which all four of us found to have a very nice family atmosphere and food. I would highly recommend Albani Hotel and would definitely return.

Great locationPosted Jun 11, 2013
Pros: It's location
Cons: The WiFi service. If a hotel advertises free services then they should be available, it was a hit and miss, mostly miss, with WiFi
It was a good hotel with a good location. Unfortunately, the most lacking factor was the inaccessibility of Wifi.
